  • Only used these guys once, but INCREDIBLE service and price. If I buy a watch again, I wouldn't look anywhere else.

    • Used them twice and second this.

      • I third this. great to deal with.

  • Which brand/type of watch do u guys recommend? I saw on another thread people said the Citizen Eco Drive are quality and durable? Which type?

    • +1

Seiko & Citizen are great quality watches, Casio has some nice value watches also and the G-Shocks are great if you like that style.
I am not really a fan of TW Steel, it's more of a fashion watch.
Lots of ozbargainers have bought Citizen Eco-Drives from Starbuy and they get great feedback on here, see past deals
As for the type or style, that's entirely up to you.

      • Thanks mate

        • +1

No worries, the main advantage with Eco-Drives is that you won't have to do anything to them for 10 years or more.
If you have a particular style that you like & budget, let me know & I can post some links up.

        • @28Degrees: Thanks, so the Eco Drive glass face is hard to scratch? I tend to accidentally bump it against stuff. My budget is up to ~$200, I like the silver style with the dial/face not too busy, either steel bracelet or leather band e.g. I like the look of the Eco Drive AW0090-55E http://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-mens-eco-drive-stainless-s… . Also I'm skinny with a small wrist so smaller dial size is better.

Edit: forgot to mention I need date function and preferably day and 24hr but not essential. Smaller and lighter is better.

        • +2

That's a nice watch and you won't regret buying it. The SS bracelets are also very nice quality on the Citizens.
I haven't scratched my Eco-Drive yet, but I am careful with it, so I can't say if it will scratch easily.
My favourite watch is the classic Seiko SKX007K1 Automatic. I found it at Watchcode for $219.69 delivered
It has a clean face, day/date, SS bracelet and will look fine on a smaller wrist but is still is decent size.

Another great Seiko watch for smaller wrists is the Seiko 5 Automatic SNK809K1 - $74.46
          & the larger Seiko 5 Automatic SNZG13K - $142.16

  • is that Oliver Queen's watch???

  • Hi
I am looking for sapphire glass as I often scratch my watch at work. I prefer Titanium as it will be lighter. I need date and day functions.
Do you know is there any good deal for watches fit in these criteria?
    Thanks

    • No I haven't done much research into those watches, but if you click on the link in my description to "Citizen Mens Page" you will see some Titanium Eco-Drives with saphire glass.

    • +2

If you're afraid of scratches, be aware that titanium scratches far more easily than steel

      • Thanks for the info, handy to know that

      • I didn't know that.

  • Uh good store.
Lucky nothing interesting for me this time, or simply too expensive for my wallet.

    otherwise will buy again! Haha

Ever since I bought a Samsung smartwatch, I no longer wear my Citizen Eco Drive watches. It's too heavy and can't answer calls or receive messages.

      Maybe you should lift bro.

Just logged in to neg this

        • Your definition of 'no one' does not include me :)

        • +2

I'm still rocking a 3 year old seiko automatic divers watch. its been swimming with me at least 2 or 3 times.

so yeah no one wearing analogue watches anymore? your comment is a tad off.

        • Nice choice, what model do you have? It should last about another 20 years or more before you need a service, from what I have read in online forums.
