Isn't it $39.99 at JB HiFi on a normal day?
Yes it is.
What's the point of having an EA access membership? (Just purchased XB1)
You just purchased a XB1 when the S is being released in a couple of weeks?
EA Access is like Netflix for EA games.
Unless you want to 4k player, it almost makes not difference.
There is a difference.
4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player built in.
You can stream 4K at the proper 60 Hz in HDR from apps such as Netflix.
Performance boost.
Benefits from extra processing power which will be used to run games in HDR.
40% smaller then orignal Xbox one
Built in PSU (some perfer the original external PSU should it ever fail)
Yeah but he only paid 299 with a game or two Vs 500+ for the S.
@cozmo: I admit price difference is there but give it another 6 months after release date and price should drop for christmas sales.
Yes, $280 refurb vs $550 for something that apart from size and 4k which ill never need/use.
Already have a PS4 so im not going to make a massive outlay for another console.
For the price, I get to play need for Speed (among others) for the next 12 months. NFS costs the same as 12 months EA Access. No brainer really.
Also good if you like Fifa etc
It gives you a bunch of free EA games (check the lists online, but includes things like the new Need for Speed, Dragon Age Inquisition, all the current Battlefields, etc), 10% off all digital EA game purchases, 5-day early access to EA games prior to their release date and ~6-10 hour free full-game trials of EA games (including in that 5-day pre-release windows).
Basically it's pretty awesome value if you're interested in at least 1 EA game. At the moment they're adding the free games approximately 1 year after their release.
thanks :)
$39.95 everywhere, or $36 at Microsoft for those with a student login
