Cashrewards have doubled the Cashback to 10%
Not so amazing now, but score big when combining with the weekly 10-15% promotions

I thought they did count - just had to open cashrewards in separate browser.

well the app used to work i.e. click on cashrewards link via mobile browser and app opens up. But that has been disabled by groupon, off course unless this has recently changed

Unless the 10-15% coupon is on cashrewards (usually not the case), you're unlikely to get cashback. From cashrewards site.
If you use a coupon code that is not listed on this site, rewards may not be payable

This has happened to me before. I opened a request and politely requested a refund of the difference. They wouldn't refund in cash, but instead gave the difference as Groupon credit. Not bad (use it on a Woolies voucher)!

Looks like groupon will do 5% on web and 15% on app to counteract the cashback (since app purchases do not qualify for cashback)
