Only just found out this card existed - It isn't the G1 Gaming or the Extreme Gaming edition, this is Gigabyte's Windforce OC model (usually their base model of non-ref card).
In case you're curious, the difference between this (Windforce OC) and the G1 Gaming are:
-No RGB Lighting
-Slightly lower clock speeds (not as high an overclocked from factory)
Other than those differences it has the exact same dimensions and appears to have the same heatsink/fan setup. This leads me to believe it could be the same card (PCB+heatsink) but with a lower binned GPU and no LEDs/LED control module. Unfortunately I can't find any reviews on this model, but provided my suspicions are correct it's probably safe to say it's a solid card!
