That list of top battery chargers is laughable. Havent even heard of some of those. And the Maha Powerex MH-C9000 is not even listed. LOL
La Crosse is a highly regarded and reviewed brand.
Yeah, still using my decade old Maha MH-C9000 charger and it still works great.
It's laughable because it's a page of affiliate links dressed up to look like a review site. Credibility: 0

Looking at <$25 price range for a decent AA charger.
For that price, you'll probably only get one without an LCD display.

Went to Ikea Richmond today looking for it - but sold out - they now have a different series of chargers, a basic USB dumb charger for $4 and a fancy multibattery charger for $40 -

Was disappointed as the $15 charger was what I wanted.
Aldi's battery charger is also good, and has a basic LCD display, but it costs $30 and is only available about once a year.
I clicked on Russ' link re the Ikea Ladda charger, and looks like most other Ikeas have them in stock.
So not sure if they are running it out, or I was just unlikely at Richmond that they have temporarily run out.
ps. hope this is not too far off topic for the deal - but I guess discussion of alternatives is relevant

In a previous charger+batteries deal, "newdad" said Ikea (Tempe, Sydney) were out of stock and were expecting a new model in August. It wasn't clear whether newdad was referring to the charger or the batteries, looks like it was the charger.
