Just a heads up that these are Japanese Eneloops as per amazon reviews.

You are welcome
Can't go wrong with Japanese eneloops
Can you update if the cost is with delivery or not ?
It's in the title champ : $35 delivered
err … my apologies - haven't had the coffee yet.
Ordered, thanks. :) Now to find a suitable charger. The nice Amazon ones don't ship here. :(
I use a Maha travel charger I got from Protog.com.au years ago. Works great for AA and AAA
In a previous post, @easternculture recommended the La Crosse BC700 Smart Charger from Amazon for ~$38 USD Delivered.
I have been using the La Crosse … highly recommended
Same. Love it. Do it.
does it have an AU plug if it's from amazon?
@rogr: No. I have it and the plug is a minor annoyance.
The Nitecore D4 is pretty good too.

Was about to buy them then remembered I only need them for my tv remote that lasts like half a year…
Good price though!
can't remember the last time i changed the batteries in my TV remotes…
Buy a Logitech Harmony then, it will teach you…
Huh? I've had my Harmony One for about 10 years. I've never replaced the battery, single charge lasts for weeks, it just keep-on-going.
@iDroid: you must not use it very much! I go through one set every 3 weeks
@iDroid: Harmony One has a built-in rechargeable battery, I was talking about those that use AAA batteries. Besides, you mentioned that it needs a recharge every few weeks anyway.
@bio: Ahh, that'll explain it.. Though I usually charge it more like every 2 months, it amazes me how long that thing works for between charges.
The Eneloop Pro's are also made in Japan, but a bit pricey for the extra capacity.
mine turned out to be $39?…. oops.. i might have missed something?
Thanks, bought a box!
There is really nothing special about this price. Plus Amazon has always sold Japanese eneloops.
For those chasing a charger and some batteries:
https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-K-KJ17MCA4BA-Individual-Rec…
Run the charger here with an unapproved cheap $1 US-to-AU ebay travel adapter. I prefer the 3-pin kind for more stability.
Also this bundle:
https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-K-KJ17MZ104A-Eneloop-Colore…
The charger used today is the Advanced individual-cell kind. Not the cheap-and-nasty one that used to be bundled with Sanyo eneloops back in the day. So you won't find a better charger for the price.
Also this bundle:
https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KJ17MCC82A-Eneloop-Advanced…
And so on.
There is really nothing special about this price.
Camelx3 disagrees. This is the lowest price offered on this pack and it just had a price drop of $6.
If you think $35 delivered is something special for 12 AAA eneloops then you haven't been buying them long. Also, CamelCamelCamel has gaps where it doesn't track every possible price change.
Nothing special. Not bad, not great. Nothing special. That's all I'm saying.
And I have been buying them for years. Probably 80% of mine are from Amazon (no third party sellers). I guess when compared to silly Australian pricing people can be just too easily impressed.
You + community have revoked the -1 vote from "cheepwun" on this deal
Thanks lunch sorted!
Mmm delicious Eneloops
it's shows $33.49 USD = $44.6651 AUD
That's for the AA.
Click on AAA
right, my bad.. was looking at AA
AUD $34
Only $64 if you buy 2 packs.
Dammit. I ordered a 12 sonya brand for $52 from ebay a few weeks ago. Spewing.
I just buy Turnigy's.
I bought the Energiser Rechargeable batteries from Woolworths last year.
That's before I became a regular ozb-lurker, or heard of Eneloops.
Turns out I got a phenomenal deal.
I picked out a couple boxes of AA rechargeables (no charger) for about $3 per battery. Turned out to a great deal.
Apparently the Energiser ones are much better than the Chinese Eneloops and Amazon Basics.
And they are slightly less capacity than the Japanese Eneloops, but can withstand as many or more cycles.
At least that's what the test results from wire cutters say.
The Powerex Imedions look like the best in the market, having the best tradeoff between cycles and capacity.
The next time I went into the same Woollies, the price was changed to $7 per battery.
I would've posted it up on OzB… but I bought all the remaining packets XD
The energisers aren't LSD last I checked?
@Lukian:
I thought they are, at least the AA ones… definitely the AAA are not though.
The best in the market seems to be the Powerex Imedions (longest use), Energizer Recharge (middle-ground)
…and the high-capacity Sanyo XX (rebranded 2nd gen Eneloop Pro).
I can't wait until my batteries run dry and I get to go hunting for some Ene's.
Although I think I should invest in a good quality charger, cause I'm using one of those all-purpose Chinese chargers.
Great brand but possibly no better than Aldi equivalents for $5.99/4pack. I use regular eneloops, Imedion and Aldi, all perform equally or nearly as well as each other, possibly Imedion have the edge. The Aldi when fully discharged will take 2300-2400 mha of charge which is rather good for a 2100 rated battery. Save your money folks, buy locally and save paying extra for a premium brand name. Finding real bargains is what ozbargain hunters do :) Also remember to use a quality charger, they look after the cells as well as permit discharge, heat cut off, adjustable charge rate and have a cell refresh facility involving a charging fully, then discharging cycle until such time the charger doesn't sense any increased charge capacity.
Thanks for your time in imparting these tips.. saved me from pulling the trigger.
What charger are you using?
LaCrosse
The aldi ones are they regularly available and are they any good with the eneloop smart charger?
I have only purchased eneloop to date as them seem to be what everyone buys.
But if aldi ones are as good why not.
What are the cost of aa and aaa as trying to compare with price of eneloop ones.
And do aldi just sell the one type?
I agree. At $2 per battery it is really not that great. The Ikea batteries were quite solid too.
The advantage of eneloops (especially the Japanese ones) has been their slow discharge rate and number of recharge cycles supported, not their outright capacity.
I've not seen any tests yet for how well the Aldi batteries score on those measures.
I have seen one test at fairly high current draw above 1 amp draw and and 1 amp charge they see almost 500 charges. If you look after them better they will last longer.
I have some Aldi rechargeable AA and AAA, they are quite good and I use the Aldi smart charger as well. Dont have eneloops to compare with. I have Sony, Energizer and GP. Energizer is the worst of the lot, Sony is the oldest but still works. Aldi are slow discharge, so its my favourite one at the moment. Waiting for Aldi deal for rechargables batteries.
Anyone in Sydney city want to split in half?
Ouch
Been asking officeworks to stock Eneloops, help me out and send them a msg :)
Don't think it is a good idea.
Looks what happened to Dick Smith after they stocked too many Eneloops.
Dick Smith got swindled by Anchorage Capital. Swindled big-time. Nothing to do with selling eneloops, of course.
Dick sold eneloops for double what you could get them on Amazon for years; it was only when they had sales that they were worth buying and the people here thought they were getting a 'half price' bargain. Well, half-price is easy when you sell for double the price of Amazon most of the year.
All that said, in fairness they did do a few good deals. I remember scoring 8 packs of AA glitter eneloops for 11.99 or 12.99 at one point. Couldn't be matched by Amazon. Also the pink ones and the Uomo range. Never saw those that cheap on Amazon (when Dick had the odd genuine bargain). But the Dick Smith hype on eneloops was generally just that: hype. People would get in a frenzy whenevr they were discounted, apparently not knowing they could score them for the same price on Amazon.
After delivery? That's the only thing keeping me from Amazon. Anytime i find something i want delivery ruins it
@g2420hd:
The AUD was far better a few years back. Now it's painful. If you buy from Amazon anyway (I do) then adding eneloops is logical and really helps, without buying just the one item.
All that said, the bundles with the Advanced charger are far better value, IMO. Most people don't need 12x AAA.
Try Lego trains. 3xAAA for the remote and 6xAAA for the train.
Try Lego trains. 3xAAA for the remote and 6xAAA for the train.
@Elyxar:
…or flash triggers. As I said, most people don't need 12xAA. Some do, of course.
whats so good aobut Eneloop?
Reliable, high number of recharges, and they hold charge for a long time (many months/years).
straight from the horse's mouth?
http://main.panasonic-eneloop.eu/
Are these any good
Lol

Suggest potential purchasers read some of the Amazon reviews before buying. Can't recall ever seeing any comments about "genuine" dud Eneloops before.
good deal
Looking for some AAs for my recent Wii purchase

Perfect AAA Batteries for my Prostate Vibrator.
Need that Strong Vibration. (Got a little sexual)
Also if you're don't want to waste a postage fee, You can buy it with other item which price have been reduced greatly from camelcamelcamel.com
It seems
AmazonBasics AAA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries (8-Pack)
is the rebranded version of eneloop based on their reviews.
I've bought 2 pack of 8-AA and it's on its way…
My order arrived today. Kind of surprised that it arrived this quick - expected default shipping to take a lot longer.
Cheers. I've been looking to get some more AAA eneloops.
