  • You can buy the Plantronics Legend (previous model) for $157-ish AUD shipped from Amazon.co.uk It comes with a special optimised Bluetooth USB Dongle for PC use, comes with Desktop stand and special protected carry case with inbuilt charger. Comes with more stuff.

    • Does anyone know where to get one of these "special optimised Bluetooth USB Dongle for PC use" on it's own?
Not just the $8 ones off ebay etc…

      • I think this model uses the BT600 about $130 bucks off ebay.

The previous model Legend uses the BT300 adapter. about $55 off ebay.

That's why I'm more interested in the older model, it comes with all the accessories for not much more.

  • i am sure the one in the op is much more premium, but if i need another one, i will certainly get this:

    • The Xiaomi is rather quiet, and speaks to you in Chinese when it rings etc, really annoying. I only use mine when my plantronics runs out of juice.

  • I've the plantronics edge and can't fault it, I do have an older voyager headset, it's pretty good too. Cheap ones are simply no good when you are on the move in noisy environments.

Thanks OP, been thinking of getting one if these to replace my M165 (which will now be my backup unit). Will get rid of the Xiaomi that was my backup - just too quiet for using while walking on the street, and the call announce in Chinese is annoying (they don't do an English version - wish the sellers told people about this, they didn't at the time I got it at least).
