Pretty good price on this SD card, the lowest ever posted on ozbargain. Has reads of around 80MB/s and writes of around 20MB/s.

Yes… recommed U3.
Any good large capacity cards on sale?
Not at the moment, no. :(
@kwchaz: i saw 200gb sandisk 90m/sec microsd on sale around $100 in one of the other recent ebay sale which is a good deal. dont know the write speed though.
@blaze: Ita about the same. They are UHS Class 1 or micro SD Class 10. One review rated them at about 17MB/sec writes.
As the other commenter notes, that was not a U3 one. There was one from MyMemory, 128GB microsd U3, that came to about 50AUD. Missed out on that one by hours. T_T
Becareful with PC Byte. I have bought 2 SSDs from them 8 weeks ago and I have yet received the products. I have going through eBay and they claims PC Byte does not have enough fund in their paypal account to refund me. In the last months, PC Byte also clocked up over 40 negatives and some of those are undelivered items. Don't waste your time with this group.
OTOH I ordered two of the EVO Plus 64 GBs from the last deal and they arrived pretty quick - two days to Sydney.
YMMV.
Took 10 days for me just normal Evo. It's auspost letter that's why
YMMV
… or, just choose one with consistently good mileage.
Ive purchased two 128gb sandisk micro sd cards from them back in December. Painless process. I did purchase off their website though, not ebay.
Also purchased a 128gb usb stick, however an hour later found a better deal on ozbargain from a different seller. They happily cancelled and refunded me.
I have heard some bad stories here and there, but i think in general they seem ok.
I've never had a problem with their website. I'm surprised to hear you have had this experience, even more by the PayPal response
Guys, what's the difference between Evo and Evo plus? Is it the write speed? By how much though
It is actually the read speed that is different. IIRC, Evo was read 48MB/s and Evo plus is 80MB/s. Both are U1 cards so write speeds are similar.
I see, I guess write speed is more important to most of us $K recording so yes if that's the case then no real advantage here
FYI… the 256Gb Samsung Evo U3 MicroSD has already dropped from its RRP of $249.99 USD to a 'crazy' $199.99 USD: http://www.adorama.com/isgmbmc256am.html?utm_source=rflaid91… and it's still not even readily available yet! I'll be in line for two as soon as they near $200 AUD tho as our SGS7s need a feed!
Near $200? already sub $200 :)
Holy Shite! Lyl, you are a LEGEND! Thanks heaps!! Just bought two for $377.52 ($188.76ea).
Far out… amazing what you can find in your own backyard… if you just look for it :)
Haha, saw it already yesterday and didn't thought it was worth posting because it looked expensive. Never knew it was an U3 card.
@lyl: Absolutely! I've just created a separate deal for it :) Thank you SO friggin much. Been waiting for this for months!
Would this be suited for a Samsung S7 video recording in 4k?
I see a lot of comments about the write speed of this card being 20MBs which is not good enough for 4k video but can someone help me understand why? I read that 4k bitrate is around 68 Mbps which divide by 8 = 8.5MBs ?
Hardware issue as far as i know. Some devices will refuse to record 4k on any card not certified as u3.
Okay cool, I guess if the current Sandisk Extreme 64GB U1 is working fine in my S7 for 4K recording then this card should most likely work too.
PCBYTE is the worst store I've ever bought off, please save yourself the hassle and buy else where.
I seriously doubt it will be delivered as me and few other ozbargainers were burnt by PCByte, I neg PCbyte
Is this Australian Stock?
Yes, warehouse is in Sydney I think
Thank you!
If you're using for 4k recording or media, write of 20MBs is NO GOOD.
