No Contract Mobile Plan Approx $20 Per Month

Any recommendations? I've looked at whistleout and am thinking of Vaya or Dodo (but am open to other suggestions)… but dont know anyone who has used these providers before

I was with tpg for a few years (reception not great at home), changed to Amaysim (much better reception at home) but would rather a carrier that charges monthly instead of every 28 days and a provider that i dont have to remember to buy phone credit for because I am likely to forget.

In the past month I used - Calls: 13 (less than 5 mins per call), SMS: 260, Data: 310MB and i could cut back on sms if i had to

Thanks for your suggestions

    ALDImobile $20/month plan

    M $20/month = Up to 750 minutes, unlimited SMS/MMS, 1.5GB data, on Telstra 4G

30 day billing and on the Telstra network instead of the Optus network that Vaya/Dodo use. You'll have plenty of data and calls to spare as well.

I've been eyeing Dodo myself but a bit put off by the $25 SIM fee. Not sure if you can avoid that by signing up at a kiosk.

Another good option is Jeenee's $18/mo plan (+$10 SIM fee). 2GB data, 200 minutes, unlimited SMS https://www.jeenee.org.au/products/sim-packs/

The only negative I've heard about Jeenee is that they are slow to send out SIMs when you sign up - could take a week or two.

iiNet also has a $20/mo plan (+$10 SIM fee) with 2GB and $400 of "included value": https://www.iinet.net.au/mobile/

These are all Optus MVNOs BTW.

I've got the iiNet plan (as suggested by goosmurf). $20, no contract, 2GB data, should have more than enough calls and SMSs included for you.

Plus, I'm still happy with their customer service when I need them. I've been waiting for it to deteriorate since they got bought out by TPG - but so far so good. Given appalling customer service seems to be the hallmark of budget providers (and some not so budget), iiNet are definitely worth considering.

Aldi on the Telstra network has a decent plan for $20 a month including 1.5Gb data.

I recently switched from Vaya, not because of any problems with Vaya, but just for the better coverage of the Telstra network compared to Optus.

    • yeah i just changed from vaya to telechoice hoping for better coverage

optus has bad coverage in my area.

Telechoice (Telstra 4G) $19 Live Plan per month—- $300 credit, 1.5gb data, unlimited sms and mms, unlimited call to other Telechoice mobiles.

My whole family is on Telechoice now. I love the real time alerts when you use 50% and 85% of your balance via sms and email. Highly recommend them
