At Melbourne airport lure modules are activated for FREE , been here for 2 hours so far and eating my 24 mcnuggets

    • Did you catch any pokemon there?

      • +2

        got my first pikachu !!

        • Wow!

        • i even see the board security guys walk and looking at their phones , stop and start flicking their fingers on the screen lol feel so safe now

    • who activates them? Haha just random tourists or is there a dedicated airport worker hoping that if people go there for PokeStops sooner or later a wealthy individual will celebrate their catch with a long trip overseas?

      • U can buy incense to lure pokemon out

        • lol yes I know, but who at Melbourne Airport is activating the lure modules was the question?

        • @stevensx: Bored travelers?

        • @theguyrules: My thought exactly haha. Just find it odd that in certain areas Pokestops constantly have a module on. In a high traffic airport it makes sense, but a restaurant in my local area (small town) has a lure module on all day and even into the night, never turns off. I'm wondering if that's just someone's favourite spot or if a local store is activating them just to attract customers….

        • @stevensx:

it'd make sense for the business to shell out for the lures to get the increased patronage.

with 8 lures at 680 pokecoins it comes out to 85 pokecoins per lure

buying 14500 pokecoins at $159.99 means you could buy 170.6 lures

          i.e. approx $0.93 per lure

so in essence, the business would be spending around $2/hour (as a lure only lasts for 30 minutes) while it's open to get how many more customers in who while most likely spend more than $2/hour while they're there.

at least that's what my maths come up with. anyone, please feel free to rip it apart as my math isn't all that good :-)

        • @shakoo: Haha 170.6 lures is correct. Each lure lasts 30mins so that's 85.3 hours. Keep in mind on an 8 hour business day that would be around 10 and a half days. I guess if they can make a profit on that $160 every 10 days then it's worth it.

  • the glen waverley pancake parlour area always has lures anyway. Don't need to go specifically on Thursday

  • what will happen if the server is down at that time?

  • Went to Doncaster on Sunday night, servers were unfortunately very unstable, but the waitress was awesome and the food was good. It's an excuse to head to the palour, out of the cold with some friends. If
