Hi, I am looking to get a hard drive dock with USB 3.0 that is suitable for 2.5" and 3.5" drives (sata3) that has the best performance but yet don't break the bank….I looked at MSY and PLE and ebay and there are just so many makes available….very difficult to tell which is the better ones…
Appreciate some recommendations?

Not the exact model, but this is the successor.
It should be priced at $48 from MSY or UMART, $60 is a tad expensive.

If speed is of a concern, especially for people working with SSD's, you need an enclosure that supports UASP

It's only $39 dollars from MSY. Maybe you should get this one? It seems to differ from the $48 dollar one in that the LED is white instead of blue and it doesn't have eSATA (nobody uses eSATA nowadays though!).
I need one of these as well, thinking dual bay so cloning disks is easier and I would like to be able to put SSD's into it as well (if possible) - anyone have any recommendations?
Startech dock. Excellent kit, it can do offline cloning and there's a fan that keeps the drives cool.

I'm getting 100-120 Mb/s write and about 200 read using a 3tb WD Green
I used to use Vantec Nexstar docks at my workplace for backups and data recovery on a daily basis. Clocking up hundreds of hours of heavy use and they still work.
