Came across this browsing BlitzWolf cables on Banggood, not a bad price for a quality micro USB cable, and both ends are also reversible which is a bonus.

  • Isn't the CB7 cable newer and more compatible?

    • The only difference between the two is that the CB7 is 2.4A.

looking at the descriptions of both on Banggood, besides the 2.1A vs 2.4A, the connector heads in the older series are gold but since Feb 2016 they released the nickel-plated antioxidant connectors (CB7)

the new CB7 cable can be purchased for $3.30 (see below)

I bought a few of these a while back when there was a deal going. Great cables, work well on Sony and LG phones we have.

These cables are extremely stiff and feel as if the inside cable(s) are going to crack when bent too far. Decent for permanent cable routes, though not good if you're going to be moving them around a lot.

    • Hmm, kind of defeats of the purpose of having a reversible cable used in a permanent solution.

      • Yeah, not quite sure why they make them so stiff. The braided variant is a better, though still not ideal.

    US$2.49 (AUD$3.30) from 'kwotop2014' on ebay

  • How the heck do they make reversable USB Micros?? Are they literall.. m ……… ? I'm confused…. the pinout …… but.. ?. ..
    wtf?

    • Look at the pictures in the link, only the USB type-A end is reversible.

      • +2

Both sides are reversible. You can see that the pins are duplicated on either side. Look on the 2nd picture.

I think Officeworks sold one which was similar too but only reversible on the Micro USB End.
It may look like a USB-C on the MicroUSB side, but the corners are triangular which allows it to be plugged either ways.

        • I stand corrected, and I shall update the deal description.

I bought 5 of them before didn't last long

    • Why? Connectors became loose?

      • +3

yes, all 5 gone, i won't buy again and do not recommend them to all ozbargainer

Typical. Add Blitzwolf and Tronsmart (and the now defunct Tikbro) to the list of micro USB cables to avoid here on OzBargain. I guess Anker is one that seems to last.

Currently using one. The cable is of good quality but the plastic ends on both the USB A and micro USB side come off after a little bit of use. Seems like the glue wore off pretty easily.

  • Was looking at some of BangGood's more expensive products. Thought I test them out with some of their cheaper products. I bought the braided reversible one from Banggood.com. They came 7 weeks late, and doesn't work at all…even on older phones. I wonder if any of their positive postings are genuine.

    • Interesting, I was just thinking today, should I try a reversible usb micro cable, but thought that they might be difficult to manufacture with any quality, considering the size of the plug. Seems I was right, thanks
