    • Thanks so much! Will update on main post!

  • +1

The non-braided version of this cable is also on sale.

    • Thanks so much! Will update on main post!

      • No, thank you! Just purchased one. :)

    • Yes, but the non-braided cable is also non-compliant.

AFAIK my deal is still the cheapest (not to mention available!) 3.1 Gen1 and compliant alternatives.

      • +1

Non-compliant according to whom? I personally own the non-braided version and have tested it with no issues.

        • Will it transfer at usb 3 speeds or is it limited to USB 2.0 speeds?

        • @bigjezza:
He said 3.1 gen1 so yes 3.0 speeds.

        • Google engineer Benson Leung.

        • -1

See my deal - remember that?

        • @McFly:

Well essentially it's the same cable as the master-approved version and it's a quarter of the price of the deal you posted.

        • essentially it's the same cable

Obviously it isn't. That's the point.
If you're happy to risk it, go ahead. Chances are you'll be fine…

        • @McFly:

I already did risk it, and I've had no issues with it and use it to charge my phone daily.

  • +1

For the non discounted blitzwolf products, try the code: 12blitzw . Works on the braided micro usb cables etc.

  • So how long before everything becomes USB type C? I don't think I've seen anything that has it yet?

    • think the new Samsungs will for one.

    • I believe the Lumia 950 has it

    • +2

Nexus line of phones have it. Next Samsung Note will have it. MacBook has it. And high end motherboards are already shipping with it.

    • +1

Also htc 10 and LG G5.

  • Thanks Op. 2 lightning cables bought.

  • Why wouldn't they make these USB 3.0. Only the non-braided ones are 3.0

    • I guess because most phones at the moment still only have usb 2.0 despite having type c. The only exception is probably htc 10.

    • Because they can save probably about 2c per cable by not including required wires, etc.

      • +2

Whoever neg'd me - yeah, you're probably right, 2c is a bit of an exaggeration!

        • +3

Just up voted you, ignore the negger(s).

    • Am I missing something? The specs for the braided 2m say "Plug: Standard USB2.0 A Male to Double-Sided USB3.1" (as per op info). Are you saying you lose some of the 3.1 benefits if the other end of the cable is USB2.0 ?

      • Think of this as a USB 2.0 cable with a new fangled connector at the other end.
See my deal above for a faster one.

        • Thanks. I've seen your deal. Its also about 3x the price of the 1m cable here. So what are you missing out on if you go with this usb2 one - is it just the data transfer speed - or do you lose the fast charging and / or other benefits? I'm mainly interested in using these for charging. Basically have 2 that came with my Nexus 6P but then prob need one for charging at work, one for charging in the car and maybe one as a spare/ to take on holidays.

        • Yes, just speed - comparing with the braided cable (which is fully USB compliant.)
My cable seems to be better quality though. YMMV

        • @McFly: Thanks for the info. Yep - am looking at the braided ones - and really just for charging. I can use the original that came with the 6P for data transfer. Also, I suppose I should have read the link to the Benson Leung comments on Amazon - "In conclusion, this is a Good cable for your Nexus 6P/5X to use with all of your older USB Type-A chargers, hubs, and PCs. It also works great with Chromebook Pixel 2015 and will work great on USB Type-C spec compliant devices to come! However, it is NOT a SuperSpeed USB 3.1 5gbps cable."

        • Actually, just remembered 5X/6P only have USB 2 speed anyway…

        • @McFly: Interesting. Just read up and you're right about that. So these cables basically provide all the same features (that the phone is capable of) as provided by the original cable, and the point by Leung is basically irrelevant, in relation to 6P and 5X in any event. (ie "However, it is NOT a SuperSpeed USB 3.1 5gbps cable"). Maybe this year's phones will be 3.1 speed capable. I bought 3 x 2m braided. And also bought a couple of the adapters - to use with my portable Panasonic/ Eneloop battery packs (which I got for about $10 at DS on an OzB deal about a year ago). Nice deal. Thanks OP.

  • Great cables. Been using them constantly for my nexus 6p

My gf gets angry everytime I tell her I scored a banggood bargain

  • Braided 1m version of USB to lightning cable http://www.banggood.com/Apple-MFI-Certified-BlitzWolf-Lightn… good price?

  • +2

I never buy anything from Banggood ever again. I had order 2 Xiaomi Chargers from them and they sent me a fake tracking number. Over one and half month, the items still haven't reached my place. I contact them so many times and got the same answer

"We checked that your order was shipped at 6th June. And normally it may take 7-25 business days (not including weekends) to your country.

Could you please wait few days more for it? If you haven't received it within the estimated time of arrival, please contact us. We will do our best to solve this problem for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience and looking forward to hearing from you."

So I have to contact Paypal for a dispute claim

    Cheer guys

    • -1

These guys are dodgy as. Their cables fall apart within a few months, even their mfi lightning cables. I would look at buying cables elsewhere. They are a pain in the event of warranty claim. They want you to take pictures and make YouTube videos for them. Ensure you pay via paypal if you need to buy and make a PayPal claim if you get any cheek from them.

Their 18month warranty is worth less than the cardboard paper it's written on.

    • highly likely they drop ship from china i.e. they manage the orders/take the money but don't hold goods

    • Ordered lots from them, usually get in about 9 business days.

  • These aren't compatible with micro USB devices eh? (Sorry for the noobidity)

    • +1

Nope. You can use an adapter but probably easier and cheaper to buy micro usb cables anyway.

  • I bought these BlitzWolf braided cables last time they were on Ozbargain from Banggood. Thinking the braided cables would last longer with the kids but they were a miserable failure. Yes the braided part stood up to the rough treatment from the kids but the end connections were crap and either snapped off or the glue didn't hold. Bought 4 and at least 3 are now busted.

    • -1

Buy cables from Google if you want good quality cables.

    • Its hard to judge the quality based on your comment. I suppose if you give them to your kids and let them try to pull them apart with "rough treatment" they're going to succeed. However, that is not the usual use case.

  • Got 2. Nice, ty!

  • Don't forget your 4.8% cashback via CashRewards

  • Okay getting mixed reviews here, 90% of people here are saying this charger sucks. Is there actually any positive one? If not, then what are your recommendations?

    • This isn't a charger, these are multiple cables.
      See my link above.

  • +1

What's a date cable, type C? Sounds viral.

  • thanks OP, got two

  • Thanks hhflames1, got 2 in red :)

  • I purchased the 3 meter cable when it appeared here a while back - and sadly it doesn't rapid charge my Nexus 5x.. AJ

  • +1

BlitzWolf needs to make USB C to C braided cables!

  • Will this work on a macbook 12 for charging??
Ie - plug USB-C into macbook, usb end into an iPhone USB end bit?

    • What?
One of the many reasons not to buy an iphone is that it doesn't have a USB port like every other phone on the planet.
You need a USB C to lightning cable (do they even make those?) or eg. a USB C to A adapter.

    • Won't work, this is usbA-usbC, if you want to change your iPhone with macbook you need usbC-lightning, or usbA-lightning with a usbA to usbC adaptor.

  • +1

Bought some of these in the last sale, great cables. Love the longer ones listed in the comments too, and the colour choices are pretty snazzy. Would definitely recommend, and the mrs loves the pink cords.

  • What does reversible mean?

    • +3

The USB C connector is reversible, meaning you can plug it into your phone's port (if it has USB C) regardless of whether the connector is facing up or down. This is opposed to micro usb which only goes in one way :)

  • Hopefully these cables are what they claims to be. Last time I have bought 3 and they are all charged max at around 1.5amp.

    • Hopefully these cables are what they claims to be

      The braided ones are.

  • the head come off easily, I bought 5 of them, 1 month later non of them usable.

    • was that the braided one or the non braided one?

  • Got a few cables last deal. Plugged into PC to charge and a message always pops up saying the cable needs more power to charge
They work but not from a PC
Good cables. Would buy if I needed more but 2 + my main is enough

    • Could you still use them for pc data transfer?

      • After it stated that it needed too much power. The cable died

        • Braided or un-braided?

          Good cables.

          ???

        • @McFly:

          BlitzWolf® BW-CB5 2.4A USB Type-C Reversible Braided 3.33ft/1m Charging Data Cable
I also got the 3m one

The 1m died after a week of plugging my phone into the PC with it. The 3m still working
I think I just got unlucky that my pc decided after 3 days that the cable needed too much power lol
Other than that still good cables

  • +1

    Appears to be expired now

  • Still waiting for my shipment.

    • Got my cables over a week ago. Notification received a good few days ago that adapters and other items I ordered had been dispatched.

  • I have received my 2 braided cable. Android Ampere indicates the max charging amp is 1.35A and is way below the Max 2.4A. My other cable from Joyroom managed 2.5A from the same charger.
