A rough ETA of 17/8 is a long way off…….

    • +7

That's shipping date, by the time you get it, it'd be late September or mid October.

      • +4

Yep, we'll probably hear leaks about the 'Ti' models by then.

        • And it will be found cheaper somewhere else.

    • I don't think the guys from the previous massdrop post have received theirs either.

Approx $940AUD which is the same as some of the (non Founders) 1080s in stock at Overclockers UK with DHL shipping.

Why wait two months when you can get this delivered within a week by DHL for about the same price??

Yep, ordered my 1080 from their on Tuesday and it's being delivered to my office at work tomorrow :)

      • $975 delivered, not bad. $35 more for quicker delivery is decent.
MassDrop's not really doing much on a quantity purchase.
I'm holding out for the EVGA Hybrid personally, but these sub $1k deals are very tempting.

Exactly, and as I've mentioned before (having used MD more than a dozen times) DO NOT RELY on MD delivery times being accurate what-so-ever.

I've had some things take close to 3 months after the drop ended to arrive, it is simply not worth it.

Low core speed for the price.

  • I got my EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING for $884 AUD delivered from Amazon. It has better clocks speeds then this.

Now Amazon regularly run out of stock and subsequently raise the price above the normal price, however if you just watch stock from american shops you will be able to get a similar card for a similar price.

My point is I would only get this if you need one right now, waiting a week or two will get you a better card for a lower price.

Amazon as well as EVGA have international warranty. I'm not so sure about mass drop or MSI…

    • How noisy is the card under load? Is it quiet or bad?

      • I receive it on Thursday.. :)

    • Yeah I would be interested to know if MSI warranty is international too.

If so, I'd probably bite the bullet on one of the overclockers.co.uk cards.

If not, I'll wait for my EVGA SC pre-order from Amazon (been waiting 2 weeks already, hoping they get stock soon).

        FYI

I contacted MSI Australia. Their warranties on MSI desktop components ARE NOT INTERNATIONAL.

Therefore if you buy your MSI video card in the UK and it breaks in Australia, you have to send it back to the UK.

        Not good.

  • Would this fit my 286 with windows 3.1 I play Mine sweeper in full graphics

    • +1

Yes, just get an ISA to PCI-Express adapter.

    • +1

I have this bad boy installed on my XT8088 and I can play Diggers and Burger Tome at maximum setting on my Dell 3415W!

  • the way the bracket is on this card it must be more then a standard card width
