Dell has a $50 off $299 then applying NRMA coupon code brings the final price to $211.64, not a bad price for a entry level 24" monitor.
Dell ST2410 24" Full HD Monitor $211.64

simply great..
Was gonna be getting a 22" lcd for a friend soon for $170 so an extra $41 for 24" with full hd is great :)
ordered!
Bought one too.. thanks!
How does this compare to the BenQ 2420HD?
I think the BenQ has HDMI. This one doesnt.
Incorrect. The Dell has HDMI, DVI and VGA
I couldn't work out how to add my RACV coupon code. It asks for a membership number later in the ordering process but doesn't apply any discount.

Now I'm looking forward to some wide-screen action!Great to use for a second or third screen, wouldn't rock it as the primary one however.
How come?
cause this isnt that great of a monitor
this is the entry level 24" from dell, and apparently the quality isnt that great
and also cause it's 16:9 makes it great to watch movies on without the black bars on the top and bottom but for everyday use with webpages, text documents, games, etc it's a bit of a pain in the butt compared to a decent 16:10 24" monitor
but that's just my opinion, it ur budget restricts u to just one monitor and a cheap one at that then all this doesnt really matterNot everyone can tell whether a screen is bad or not. I'm sure most people would be more than satisfied if they were to use this as their primary monitor..
@manbearpig: yeah i know but for people aiming for a multiple monitor set up then this would be great as a second monitor but not as the primary (primarily due to it being a 16:9) but for those who are looking for a cheap monitor and dont care if it's a 16:9 or 16:10 then go for it
@Trance N Dance: cheers for that - ill wait till a good deal on a 16:10 rocks around, probably in EOFY sales..
OMG just bought an acer for parents and paid around $230 all up after shipping.. Wish I saw this, ahh well not for me anyway. Very nice deal
See here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/25645 for the 'Dell S2209W 21.5" Monitor Full HD - $137.39 Delivered' deal.
LCD price will be droped end of the month, very sure! however it is cheap.
what makes u say that?
End of financial year sales will be starting then :)
hmm good point…wonder if I should wait or just buy now..it really can't get that much lower.
@razza: $21X, is it the cheapest 24" lcd in market? It is DELL.
should i get this or the S2209 21.5" one?
hm?
im only concerned about the price
is the S2209 really damn cheep? cos its only 130+ :o
SS209W is the better deal. You won't find a 21.5" 1080p monitor for less than $137 I assure you.
Well one just went for $89 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/26254) and another for $109 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/26256), I can assure you that much.
Any expert knows the difference between this one and Dell G2410H? Thanks,
the G2410H is LED backlid meaning it consumes less power and also supposingly better contrast ratio.
thanks, viper. but this one is far cheaper!!!!!!
I'm torn between this and the Acer x243hbmid
Such an insane bargain.
Want to buy 2 more and get an Eyeinfinity setup.Bought :) thanks for the heads up.. but gosh they do take their time. I was told to expect delivery ON or before 23 JUNE 2010…
What on earth takes a month to deliver a monitor…
Dont worry the time isn't accurate.
Some people get it earlier/ even later!
Would these work if you plugged a PS3 into them?
You'll need a HDMI - DVI cable for the PS3.
Noted it doesn't come with one so you'll need to fork out around $10.Took approximately 5 business days to receive mine. Great monitor! Came with vga cable but no dvi, which I thought was strange. The Dell S2209W 21.5 came with both dvi and vga cable.
ah bummer! cutting cost i suppose… have a spare hdmi to dvi sitting around so might give that a try… should get mine sometimes next week fingers crossed
Wow, also consider that it has 3 years warranty and free shipping.
