I have a lot of EFTPOS giftcards and would like to turn them into cash. Is there an easy way of doing this? Trying cash out at woolies doesn't work. Is there anywhere you can get cashout as a purchase or load the money onto some kind of card that cash be withdrawn from?

They have EFTPOS terminals in ANZ but when I asked to pay my credit card using EFTPOS they said it was only for ANZ accounts. I think some of these cards are actually mastercard debit cards going by the number on them, but I don't think they'd work online.
I'm just using them for purchases where I can but it's hard as they are small denominations.
you could use multiple to pay for one weekly shop - you can use multiple payment methods for one transaction at coles and woollies.
Thanks but I would like to get the cash then buy the 5% off cards.
@JIMB0: I am pretty sure the T&C of the EFTPOS giftcard would state that it is not redeemable for cash. You can't "cash-out" the cards either, because the Card Issuer prohibits that, as you may have noticed when trying to cashout @ woolies.
As you mentioned, this is a giftcard. I know it's EFTPOS, but… it still is a giftcard, not cash.
How about using them to pay bills/utilities
EFTPOS card are extremely great.
Im happy to get them all if possible and no complaint. but if really desperate to convert to money, just use it buy more prepaid cards or gift cards.
May I know how did you get that many Eftpos cards?
Various deals
buy a big ticket item that uses most of your card/s balance, then return it afew days down track, and get refund. may work, who knows
They will refund you they way you paid for them. I know if I return something I've bought using a credit card, they will refund the money back onto my credit card and not in cash. Not sure if same applys I agree with l pevious comments. It's usually very hard to get any type of gift cards into cash. Which is a shame these days, at the end of the day they are your cards you should be able to what you want with them. More control over people's choices
Good luck I hope you find a way to get the money.
Cheers

Tell that to the people who gave you the gift card.
Sell them
Where?
Ozbargain or eBay.
Tried and tested way:
Use EFTPOS gift card to buy stuff at Myer or David Jones or any other stores with good returns policies. Make sure you select "savings" on EFTPOS.
Return goods, present your own debit card. They will refund either to your savings card or in cash.
If they ever ask you to present the same card (they don't normally), you can say it was lost but you have a new card now.
I thought about that method, but I don't want to end up like this guy.
Make payment to your income tax account at Australian Post using the payment slip.
Choose EFTPOS when making payment. Then request refund from the ATO.
Doesn't work if you have outstanding ATO debt
went to the post office to pay a bill using eftpos gift card at the self service machine.
A staff saw me doing it & grabbed my bill & receipts and went to the manager.
The manager said if you do it again they will call the police as its fraud!! You are only allowed to use them at David Jones!
I smiled & left; can't be bothered arguing!
Sure you did.
I suggest checking the terms and conditions of the relevant EFTPOS card.
My guess is that you won't be able withdraw cash but I could be wrong.
The closest thing you could get to cash would be Coles or Wish cards to use on your grocery purchases. The EFTPOS card is closer than cash to either of these options.
Okay, I have another idea which probably won't work but I'll throw it in anyway. Is it possible to open a bank account, either online or in branch, and use the eftpos card to transfer money into it?
