Popped by Harvey Norman Moorabbin today to grab the TomTom XL 340 with price match from BIG W and noticed the 4.3" Garmin Nuvi 265w GPS for $148. It has bluetooth as well!
Other brands were on sale as well! Not sure if other Harvey Normans have this or how long this sale will last, maybe until the end of the weekend.

Just bought one yesterday. Doesn't have lane guidance in case someone really needs that. And Garmin no longer includes speed camera and school zone alerts for free, although they can be found online. I also saved the free downloads last year when we got our first 265W. Glad I saved them :)

You're right, I originally checked the 265W on the US site then clicked the Aussie site. Something must have been lost in the translation; my bad ;7*
I gotta say thanks to Gary Wheelhouse, OzBargain's favourite HN Social Media Manager.
After hearing this price on the radio on Sat night, and then no HN store knowing anything about this price on the Sunday and Monday, Gary found the Bulletin Number which I took to a shop prepared to insist this is the right price. Fortunately the person I saw on Tues was different to the person I spoke to on Monday, so the price was easily given.
I keep telling myself I don't need a GPS, but all this deals popping up is very tempting.

The Big W TomTom XL was the older silver model but when I went into Harvey Norman Moorabbin, the manager didn't even ask to see the print out and was happy to give me the black XL 340 Homer Simpson version!

Noticed they have the Navigon 1300 for $98. I wonder if it still comes with 2yrs worth of maps.
Just had a look and found that you can get the speed cameras for $9.95 for a once of or $29.95 with one year updates. Not too bad if you ask me…
Also, the traffic receiver at http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/25571 is only $36!
If you add it all up, $194 for a 4.3" Garmin GPS with speed cameras, lifetime traffic updates and bluetooth handsfree is not bad at all!
does garmin speed cameras beep when you're near it like Tomtom's GPS? has anyone tried it yet?
