  $3 plates is a bargain??? Feel sorry for those paying full price!

      Not sure in Adelaide, but in Sydney (well chatswood at least) $2.70 plates are normal prices.

        But those would be for the cheaper sushi no? My understanding is there are more expensive plates as well, which could make this a reasonable deal…
        The quality though is another matter for debate

        @inasero: most sushi trains have Mon-fri specials where all plates are $x. The different colour plates with different prices are only a weekend thing. The cheap plates on weekends are $2.00 and the expensive are $4.50. super specials are $6.50. so always best to sushi train Mon-fri

  Last year they had it, the line was at least an hour long.

  Konnichiwa sushi train is just a bit further up gouger St and does $3 plates all the time (and all their plates are $3 for that matter). And they're awesome. No deal.

    Agree with this.
    The time spent waiting for a seat at sushitrain is not worth the savings.
