Don't know for sure, but the thumbnail of the LC42D77X looks very very similar: http://www.sharp.net.au/product-catalogue/products/LC42D77X/
the other ones I've seen didn't look right:
LC42B20E: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/sharp-lc42b20e-review-2008071…

Does it matter where the panel is made? As long as the panel performs well, it shouldn't matter right.
As per Retravision web site, it's for QLD and Northern NSW only
And only Sharp found on the site is LC42D77Xsharp make FANTASTIC tv…this is a freakin bargain
The picture on this model is poor quality. Blacks come out a mixture of dark blue and purple. There is a significant amount of motion blur on the Sharp LC42D77X, despite the fact that it claims to be a 100hz refresh rate and full hd 1920 x 1080p. You can do better than this Sharp lcd model. An example of a better lcd tv is the Samsung LA40B650. This Samsung tv has been advertised under $1000 recently. Samsung is replacing this model with the LA40C650 according to their website.
does anyone know what model this is?
