Braun MQ5037WH Multiquick 5 Vario 750W Hand Blender $79 @ The Good Guys

150

I have been eyeing for this item for a while, I'm glad I haven't pushed the button yet. Until now the cheapest so far is at Myer for $119, usually $149.
It was 149 at Stax.online ebay, and now 137.50, which comes down to $110 with CLICKMORE.

This is very cheap, add $21 item and you get $20 store card. The Russell Hobbs Colour Control Blender can be a good choice.

Can't find review on this, but I heard this is Choice award winner?

There is special edition item at Myer for $124, the MQ5137BK. The only difference I can see is the colour.

For what it's worth, I own one of these blenders and it is the best I have ever owned. Versatile and powerful and very useful. No I am not affiliated, just putting my two bobs worth in.

    • I think I read it somewhere in whirlpool that said this is the choice award winner.
If anyone has Choice access, maybe they can confirm.

      • For me, the Braun hand mixer is the best small electric appliance in our kitchen after toaster, kettle and microwave (if you count microwaves as small).

I owned the old 400w Braun for about 10-15 years and it never missed a beat. About 6 months ago, it got dropped on a hard floor and the connector broke, but the unit still works fine. I replaced it a few months ago with the 550W Braun for $29 (from Good Guys). The new model was almost identical to the old one except it's quite a bit heavier and I didn't notice the performance difference with the extra 150w - but it depends on what you're doing with them. I use them to puree vegetable soups and puree fruit smoothies most of the time. Even tough fruits are pureed easily with the 400w model, as is ice… It might just be a little quicker.

        • Thanks, I hope I enjoy it too when I got it!

      • Reviewed March 2015. It is one of 8 recommended models. Rated 6th out of 22 products with a score of 83%. Scores range from 88% to 70%

        • Thanks a lot mate

  • I have the Braun Multiquick 3 which is a 550W model and I'm very happy with the quality. I got it because my sister has an older Braun stick blender which has proved very durable.

This is a very good price for the Multiquick 5 with all the attachments. My only caveat is that the 750W model is bound to be heavier which some folk might not like.

  • thanks OP.

Bought one today and cooked some cream brulee, kefir and kale smoothies. chopped some almonds.

10 out of 10 equipments in kitchen, and same Braun quality and design.

no brainer for $79. My very old Braun 250 watt one can go to opp shop now.

love the non splashing design that works very well.

    • No problem man, I can't wait to get mine….

Maybe I'll pick up tonight instead of the weekend.
