correct. Bunnings has the GSB hammer drill. Masters has the GSR hammer drill. So Bunnings will only offer price beat on exact items. Another example is Bunnings may offer a stanley box cutter with a pouch, but the same stanley box cutter without a pouch might be cheaper elsewhere. Due to the products not being identical, no price beat applies. They are a bit sneaky like that…
Scored the aeg hammer drill and impact driver with twin 5.0 Ah batteries for $199 last week. Cant best that.
True. For the home handyman.
The AEG's are ok… But they are not Bosch blues.
Yeah 10ah vs 4ah makes it a real difficult choice ;)
I think you will need to buy the bosch blues as well Blinky Bill
Not these ones though, the hammer drill kit
No price match between drill driver and hammer drill…. Bunnings Bosch combo kit comes with hammer drill Whereas masters kit comes with just a ordinary drill driver….. Think urself lucky if u can price match…
They're the same apart from the hammer function. GSR isn't a hammer drill. I bought the GSB set 2 weeks ago when it was $269 at bunnings and it's GREAT.
I'd use a corded drill for anything really serious, but the hammer drill was good enough for me to fix a folding desk to a block wall this afternoon.
It's not so much whether it's corded or cordless, rather if you are going to be drilling into concrete or masonry on a frequent basis then you want a dedicated rotary hammer drill which will just rip through it…
I decided the on green hammer drill plus impact drill $199. Blue was tempting but there are fewer accessories and they will cost significantly more. Green accessories are regularly on sale for ~$80 each.
For home use the Green stuff is more than adequate.
I personally only use Blue though
They are different.
