Everything laser is rebranded cheap stuff with a high price.
@Clear: Is this Satechi USB-C Hub comes from the same OEM?
Yep. Satechi are like the Laser of the US.
Damn that thing looks clunky
is there one with hdmi?
I'd like to know, too. I've been searching for one with hdmi and usb type A ports, but the ones I found are all very expensive.
Same here, still looking for a good usb type-c to hdmi to link up my spectre x2 to a 27" ultra wide LG monitor. (Both purchased off OzB deals of course)
I've been looking too. I have a dell XPS 15 but would love to be able to plug in one usb-c device to get all of my peripherals and monitor connected.
From what i've found, the market is pretty limited. The only good ones would be the OWC USB-C dock, CalDigit and maybe a few Lenovo/dell/HP docks. All being very expensive as well.
I'd be worried about snapping the plug off. That's a lot of weight.
It's only for Macbook 12"?
Should work with any other usb-c device for charging as well.
For those looking for a cheaper option with HDMI i purchased:

I would argue that this solution looks a little better than the dangly cable though.
Interesting, they must be sharing the same OEM:
