  I have an American Amazon account and it worked perfectly. The only magazine of my interest would be Entertainment Weekly, but I am already subscribed via iTunes

  I have a US account too, but they know I'm located in Australia, so all the magazines seem to be unavailable to me.

  My US account (set up before there was a com.au option) has an AU address, but it worked fine.

    Same here, I've had an account for many years, way before the Amazon Australia store opened, but I've never had acces to some things based on my region.
