A great price for one of Nikon's finest. A versatile lens that's great for portraits and sports. Part of the ebay deals. Also comes with $300 cash back from Nikon. Making it $2091.04, cheaper than the last one posted during last ebay deal from Ted's camera.

Actually a lot of their lenses are a great deal with the current ebay sale with most having cashback as well.

  • that is the best price for this lens I've seen so far!

Even I won't get it for this price from Work Discount

    • +1

      I'd I didn't have one I'd be all over this. It's a spectacular lens.

      • I get work discount on Nikon Product line as we have a partnership with Nikon Australia.
Recent Purchase for a friend was: Nikon D5500 with Lens $595

I am still thinking of buying 70-200

        • I'll take a d500 thanks 😃😃😃

  • Wanted to purchase the very same lens not long ago. Not to sure after reading the comparison on dxo

    • +1

Never owned a tamron so can't compare.
I've had this lens for a few years and it's been brilliant. Well built and performers wonderfully.

  • I suppose they'll provide tax invoice to claim GST back for my trip next month. That would make that $1873.71. Very tempting indeed.

By the way, a very minor correction: the price in the title should be $2091.08, not $2091.04

  • It is available again but $100 more than before. So $80 more after discount.

  • Sadly no Nikon 16-35mm in sight

    • I picked up a 16-35 on the first day, it comes with a $150 nikon cash back which Ryda didnt mention. Was also after the 70-200f4 which was not in stock at the time but has now come back in with a $300 price increase! I spoke to staff about it and they muttered something about earthquakes in Japan and Nikon price rises, no info on line supports any of this.

edit to be fair the Earthquake in Japan in April was expected to put pressure on Nikon prices but no other sellers have raised their prices recently on this lens that I can see certainly not by 20% which coincidentally is the same amount as the ebay discount

      • I thought the earthquake was affecting their car company?

  • It is a scam: In the description, the $300 cashback was ended 31st January 2016!!

    • I thought the same yesterday and did not buy the lens but I believe it is a mistype by Ryda. The promotion is on.
I have missed the bargain but end up purchasing the Nikon 12-24mm instead.
