      I think above models may not have a build in GPS receiver so they are cheap. But Navman dash cams have build in GPS receiver so they record both video and geo position.

      • Why do you need GPS in a dashcam?

          If you think about it, you'll find you had the answer all along.

        • To prove you were speeding when the incident happened and invalidate your insurance claim.

        • @dewy: You can turn it off if you are generally speeding. However, if you mostly drive under speed limit, it can really help you in case of an accident.

        • @OldSchoolHarry: You can use the video footage to work out your speed quiet easily.
