[PC] Free - Wasteland 2: Director's Cut Free Weekend and $19.99US to buy (50% off) - Steam

100

Play Wasteland 2 for this weekend to see if you like it and want to buy it.

If you decide to buy it, the game is 50% of this weekend on Steam. I am not sure if this is the absolute lowest price as I have not checked.

Enjoy.

  • Damn, I was going to try it, but 19GB download when I only have 20GB free space!

  • Thanks OP, highly recommended for anyone who loved Fallout 1 and 2. The game was developed by the creators of those two games and has a very similar look and feel. Having said that, the graphics and interface will look dated. Just a note that there are two versions of the game and the save games are not transferable. I accidentally started mine in the base version of the game only to find that I had access to the Director's cut version 20 hours into the game. As the save games are not transferable, I had to start a new game under Director's Cut. Go with the Director's Cut, it's has an improved interface and better viewing angles.

  • Every single steam game should have a 2 hour "demo" of sorts so you can try before you buy. Like back in the old days where almost every single pc game had a demo. And yes you can get a refund but you still need the X amount to even try it.

    • You can, sort of. Just buy the game and if it isn't up to scratch you can return it within a certain time. See here:
      http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/.
      From the article:
"…within two weeks of purchase and with less than two hours of playtime…"

      • I did mention that. But as I also mentioned, you need the cash to begin with. And with the ridiculous price of some recent steam games, Doom at $80 US or $110 AUD, it can be a lot of money needed just to demo a game.

  • So if you just clear your calendar and finish the game on the weekend you've played the full game for free :)
