I'm with nib at the moment and pay roughly the same for the basic hospital and extras. I might switch and take advantage of this offer.

It takes 6 months before it is credited, regardless of how long you paid (I paid 6 months with the previous offer)

You either can prepay 6 months in advance, or put in your details for direct debit (eg monthly, fortnightly, etc)
but regardless which method, the frequent flyer points do not appear until 6 months later (I am still waiting for mine - switched around March)
Medibank can suck Sh*t. I haven't been able to access online services since their 'upgrade' for over a month. Their IT has been 'investigating' for that long apparently and still not resolved. They're a bunch of clueless morons with a useless CRM system. Already with the ombudsman and leaving as soon as I get it sorted. NEVER AGAIN.
Are you trying to claim, or just view your account. I had that problem couldn't access online to claim so I dropped off a receipt into a branch and let them sort it out. Got the money 2 days later.
I'm trying to logon and access my account. They have upgraded their system so you need to re-register and wait for a confirmation email to activate your account. The email isn't coming through (tried multiple addresses etc) so can't activate. The clowns have no clue or rather I doubt anyone's actually doing something about it. Sadly I have waste ombudsman time/resources to get it fixed.
They had the services disagreement with providers about 1-2 years ago (ACT only?). It got resolved, but no one knows who actually caved in. What's the bet the service providers did… and now we actually get less services than before.
I've been with them for a a few years now, but have seriously been considering moving away from them. I have no interest in Extra's cover… just good mid tier private for a family. Anyone recommend a different insurer they can actually say they are happy with?
