  • Is it meant to be BPR700BSS?

      corrected

  • fast slow like TGG ebay store moves it prices up down ?

This is OzBargain 'best' does not mean most expensive.
Can buy 3 or 4 of the Aldi Multicooker that does all the same cooking functions (without the fancy digital display/auto cook) for the same price.

    • +1

Big difference, this has a 3 safety backup mechanism, 18 by 10 stainless steel, pot inside is POFA PFE FREE ceramic and has 9 cooking modes, auto pressure regulator, the list goes on.

Most other cookers use toxic Teflon for interior, this is the only one that usrs toxic free ceramic interiors

Of course it's up to each one to decide but u cannot compare the aldi cooker to this not even close

      • Most other cookers use toxic Teflon

Yes I'm sure all those other brands that don't happen to be this one are openly poisoning the population. That doesn't sound silly at all.

      • Of course it can't be compared, it's 3 or 4 times the cost … but it still has all the same functions regardless.
Outside pot material is irrelevant, but the ceramic inside might be a nice option.

Dont ever buy Breville without extended warranty!

    • I agree its a garbage brand

Not entirely true - I have had the BES900 coffee machine and Smart Grinder for 4 years now (bought in 2012 - used at least once daily on weekdays, and 5-6 times on weekends), still going strong, never had any issue whatsoever

Some great comments by Glitch inthe Matrix: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/3713900/redir

"The total price I paid with the 15% discount and the $50 cashback was $221.15. Compared to the BPR200, the BPR700BSS has more Pre-programmed functions/programs and extra features. There's a Customised setting that lets you manually choose the pressure/temperature/time. It has a hands free steam release, which allows you to choose between Auto quick/Natural/Auto pulse. The steam setting you choose depends on what you're cooking and it determines how the steam is released. It might sound complicated but it's not and is easy to operate. Everything is done automatically because it has dual sensors (top & bottom) to detect when and how often the steam/pressure is released."

"There are lots of safety features built into this cooker (Primary Safety Release Valve, Secondary Safety Valve, Locking Lid, Lid Position Sensor, Silicone gasket, Vessel Temperature Sensor, Thermal Fuse, etc). It's one of the most useful, durable and best appliances I've purchased for the kitchen/home. It also has an LCD screen that displays what it's currently doing (Preheating, cooking, releasing steam, keeping warm). The BPR200 is an older model and doesn't have all these features, maybe there are other differences but not sure what they are. I don't have anything bad to say about the Breville BPR700BSS. It makes tasty, delicious and healthy food. I'm confident I'll be using it for many years."

Personally have the BPR200 model and think its a great little unit. The original version of it had a recall due to an o-ring/seal not having arrows on it sowhen people cleaned it they put it on the wrong way and boom!!!! Recall fixed that and arrows put on seal. The only difference with the 700 model is the pre-programmed modes which i could happily do without.

BR700 also has ceramic POFA & PFE free interior, and few extra cooking modes and 5 redundancy safety features. I would say its the "luxury" item of pressure cookers.

BPR200 is good option if your budget is small.

FYI people, i'm not associated with Good Guys, for some reason Ozbargain has labelled me as associated a while ago and no one removed it.

Ours made its winter debut last night with a slow cooked roast lamb - delicious! The multifunction of this unit means that it replaces several other big clunky items in the kitchen cupboards.

Also, Choice chose it as best of the bunch in a recent comparison: https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/kitchen/benchtop-c…

I got the BPR200 a few days ago for $99 at David Jones (pricematched from target https://www.target.com.au/p/breville-the-fast-slow-cooker-bp…). So far so good. And if you are that worried about the Teflon coating buy something like this http://www.amazon.com/Fagor-670042020-Ceramic-Removable-Cook… of course check the dimensions first. There are a lot of other websites that sell replacement pots in stainless, ceramic etc.
EDIT: After looking at the BPR700 it is a better machine. The LCD info and extra cooking modes would come in handy. Is it worth the extra 100 bucks… I don't know. Maybe. However it is just out of my budget anyway. Still a very good price.

Just bought one $223 pick up.
Can't find it at better price.

    • Good decision, this is the lowest price it has ever been without sale this is usually $350+

  • Picked one up at the weekend, it's made some lovely risotto rice that was a big hit in our household!

    • Hope u were able to get it on the deal

      • +1
