The brand has been around for ages.
I know Linus from Linus Tech Tips upgraded his father in law's PC using an Adata SSD (in one of his youtube videos). So I guess he feel that the brand is somewhat reliable enough for him to use as storage.

Prior to that, you could even buy USB2 sticks where the brand/model didn't skimp on quality.

Nothing complicated about it - the r/w data is there for info, use it as you see fit. Speed is convenience and many will pay a bit extra for it.
yep - just like taking the Ferrari 2km to get milk and bread - youll get there several 1/1000's of a second quicker than in the camry

The point of USB 3.0 technology is the speed, so this being a 3.0 with very slow speed is why people pointed that out.
