Hi guys,
I have tried googling for the answer but haven't found it and I hope you guys may be able to help me out. I got my RSA/RCG this financial year but have not started working in a bar or anything related, and doubt I will be able to do it before the start of the new financial year. If I started working in July or later, would I be able to claim the cost of the RSA/RCG in the 2016/17 financial year tax return? Does anyone have experience with that?

To cut a very long, over-informative answer, short. No you can't claim it.
thanks for the replies!
Doubt it. Can't you only claim expenses for a job you already have? Not buy something then 6 months later when you have a job claim it? I am only speculating though..I'm sure there are more knowledgeable people here who can answer
