Do you find the bleeding edges annoying in a dark room?
I have it and 2 other LG 4k tvs and all the same (known) issue.
I should have waited for oled to drop prices…
Slightly. I'm actually going to find out how well it stacks up to smoke damage soon, as my house burnt down around it…So I didn't get more than three weeks of use out of it!
Poor bugger, been there myself mate.
Life moves on, just takes a while.

Is this one of the 'fake 4k' tvs?
LG brand their RGB ones with "Super UHD" so this would be a RGBW one.
I personally don't mind considering it is almost $1000 less than the "true" 4k ones.

I love when an LG IPS tv is posted here. That way I get to share my horror story!
I purchased last years 65UF770T, and it has terrible backlight bleed. During the day, the picture was very nice and crisp. At night? FORGET IT. There is no such thing as 'blacks' with IPS panel. The backlight makes sure you only experience washed out greys at night.
After months of back and forth (I send LG photos, and they tell me it's normal), I filed a case with VCAT. An LG representative came out and asked me if I had tried watching with the living room lights on (Give me a break!)
A week before my court hearing, LG agreed to give me store credit for the amount paid for.
Do your research, guys!
LG refunded you directly? what did they do with the TV? did you get to keep it or did they take it back?
wow ….. my decision on buying TV was based on "does it have a glass screen so I can clean it with windex and a cloth without scratching" …. ended up with a plasma ….seems all plasma are glass. Watching at night …..the neighbours light comes in through the kitchen so I get the reflection.
I bought this for 3k two months ago, and it was a good price then.
