Just spent 132.0 on WD 2TB My Passport Ultra USB 3.0 several days ago on Futu online and found this deal is much cheaper~118.4.

  Good find.Just spent $197 @Officeworks Five-dock last week for the wireless version of this 2TB disk(including the SD card reader) so I can backup my DJI Phantom3Pro videos when on holidays.

      I find my BUP Slim to be incredibly slow compared to my WD My Passport (both 2TB USB3)

        I get about 100MB/s on my BUPS which is no slower than any Passports I have.

        I find the form factor far superior on the Seagates.

        It depends on what files you are transferring. If it's thousands of tiny files, it will take a lot longer. It's actually faster if you were compressing them into zip/rar than straight copying.

  I've had a better experience with seagate portable drives. My backup plus slim and expansion portable both write faster than my wd passport. And the seagate ones can be taken apart and used as internals if you wanted (ps4/laptop)

    That's the cheaper Seagate model and is equivalent to WD Elements in feel and build quality.

    The premium model is Backup Plus.

      They are practically identical as they both use the same Samsung Spinpoint HDD inside, enclosure build quality is better on the BUP, but I'd rather save $30 (or thereabouts).

        Yes, but price for price, you should be comparing them to the correct product in class.
