Hello all, the deal is for the Rainbow Six: Siege (Starter Pack) for only US$15 which is approximately AU$20.72. I'm not sure why they're calling it a starter pack when it includes more than the original base game which is a lot more $$$. You can buy it through the uPlay store for US$15 or through Steam for US$20. Regardless, you will still need uPlay to play it.

What's included:

• The full game with zero limitations.
• 2 Operators (with full access to all the others including the latest Season Pass ones)
• 600 R6 Credits (the microtransaction system. Only a select few appearance items cost real money. Everything else is free/bought through EARNED renown (ingame currency).

The game itself is amazing. I've been playing it for 6 months straight and still enjoying it. With the latest DLC (Dust Line), the game has felt like Rainbow Six: Siege 2. It gets better and better with each major patch. All the Season Pass content (new operators) is free to everyone a week after launch. The new map is free as soon as it launches. In no way is this game pay-to-play/win. Everything can be unlocked with ingame currency with a limited number of appearance items costing real money.

    Nope I can't get past it either, I am glad it's not just me. Also it doesn't seem to accept my 20% off discount code, I'm assuming it's because the store might be down. I'll try again later

  Don't buy this version.

  But firstly, the purchase kinda worked on uPlay store, it didn't apply the 20% off once it got to paypal.
  Already emailed them, and they are working on the refund, like $2.

  Back to why not this version, I did a quick google (a day after I bought it), realised that they put a sort-of different experience levelling thing on starter editions.
  ie: Normally it would cost R2000 to buy a diff character, but starter edition users, would need to pay R12000 for the same thing.
  But I'm guessing the rate at which you gain "Renown" in-game currency is the same, ie: R100 for completing a mission.
  Which means it will take you 6x time/effort to acquire the same thing.
