  • I already have a 5000mah and a 16000mah but damn this is tempting!

  • Does this support quick charge?

    • Nope. But the new version of these look awesome.
Check out the Xiaomi 10000mAh Pro
They support quick charge. USB C and micro USB inputs (no USB A). But they're like 12mm thick I think? Which is insane! Slightly thicker than the 5000mAh, but definitely slimmer than the current 10000.
They're only selling it in their Chinese store atm, and it hasn't really gone below $40 AUD I think. Once it gets better distributed, hopefully prices will drop and we'll be able to snag one for cheaper!

      • Thx a lot, will wait as I'm not hurry.

          @expertreader:

Me too, or i'll end up with 9 different power bricks with the way i keep buying them.

        • @expertreader:

          With solid reading skills?

        • +1

@expertreader: lol, Typo happens when u wake early mrng to check deals

        • @hopper: sorry mate, couldn't resist. Lol.

    • Is this only iPhone? What about s7

      • Supports them both, you just have to use a different cable.

    • does quick charge work on iphones? will it actually charge it faster?

      • No.

Quick Charge™ only works on phone with newer Qualcomm® CPU.

This powerbank will charge at 2amp which charge faster than 1amp charger.

  • would these be genuine xiaomi product? want to avoid fakes

    • +9

definitely genuine, banggood is the most reputable out of all china sellers. The power bank will come with a serial number which you can use to verify on the xiaomi website.

Also, here's a search of past banggood deals on this powerbank, they are always well-received

iv bought about 4 off them over last 2 years, all real and hold there charge

      • +3

I have one of these staying in the car glove box for over 6 months so far. Still hold full charge and surviving the heat of WA and NSW.

      • ok thanks people

  • Not sure if i should save my money for eBay sale or spend it on Xiaomi power banks! Already have more than 4 of xiaomi power banks one of their each variant only missing their new 20000mah one :\ Must resist!

"I already have 4 of these, I really don't need any more"
      2 minutes later
      "Okay bought 5 more"

This right here is the OzB spirit through and through. I feel your pain brother

  • Only want a quick charge 2.0, will wait for proper deal

    • +1
      • Still tad expensive, will wait until its $30 or lower.

There's a gadget I saw which actually takes normal Powerbanks (1 Amp output) via MicroUSB and via that device it upgrades to QC 2.0, save you buying another QC 2.0 powerbank. This thing is unheard of and not popular at the moment. You can buy it from HKgolden Mall in Hong Kong I heard

        • That's interesting, let's hope it progresses into the mainstream market.

        • @Baebs:

Yeah and I dunno how negged me.

        • @neonlight: idk, probably since the 30% off wasn't enough for you but each to their own. ill fix it lol

  • +3

10000 mah @ 3.6v!!!!! charging is at 5.1V so these are not 10000mah chargers for phones, man I hate this false advertising!

    closer to 6000mah.

still OK, but not as good I guess.

    • +1

Using mAh for batteries is pretty misleading most of the time. What's wrong with using watts - which is a measure of power, or joules - which is a unit of energy?

      • Agreed. Watts would be a much better measurement for things like this.

So this power bank is around 32.4w after assuming you'd get about 90% efficiency from the batteries. That's enough to charge an iPhone 6s completely around 4.7 times.

  • What???? I've just placed the order for 5000mhA, $9.99 USD.

  • Aw I just got this for $18 last week on the same site :( y u do dis
