oh really? So is bunnings any better? I was thinking of going DIY cheaper venetians and vertical blinds etc for a first home build once purchased.
They were so cheap it was worth it. Some were OK. But
- weak screws - the heads sheared off veryu easily , i used my own.
- roman blinds where the strings came out of the rings at back, some broke. Repairable.
- venetian where the open/close mechanism did not work. returned.
- poor adhesive on panel blinds
etc
I've done better with spotlight, BigW (i think), but suppliers come and go, so just be careful.
Your outdoor blinds link has been doubled up for the curtains link as well.
stupid question, but for the uninitiated when buying blinds to suit a known window size (width and drop) do you typically buy according to a rule in terms of the blinds measurements given on the item description? i.e. buy exact same measurements? Or do you usually go with a measurement blinds slightly bigger or smaller than what you work out your window to be as per your floor plan (say if new build house)?
Does masters do made to measure and free quote? I know bunnings does.
They do, but currently only in Penrith and Rouse Hill in Sydney. It's a very good service, I have used it myself. But not included in this offer.
I bought a lot of blinds from masters in a previous clearance, and the quality of the cheaper ones was extremely poor.
Bad instructions, parts that break easily, … Caveat Emptor.
