UberEATS $15 off First Order [Free Delivery] [Melbourne]

790
ZomatoInsta

Uber Eats is a food delivery service by Uber. Zomato posted this code on their Instagram page which gives you $15 off your first order with Uber Eats. This beats the last offer of $10 off by $5.

Uber Eats have just expanded their delivery area a bit further south & west. They are still offering free delivery for a limited time.

They expanded their delivery area the other day too. My suburb, St Kilda East, wasn't covered before but is now.

    • Yeah, they did it a few days ago. I was on the very edge of it (West Melbourne) but now am included.

  • That's pretty much a free Ramen from Shizuku Ramen in North Richmond, can recommend!

Thanks, i was having a hard time working out the difference.

Someone asked me if 12PM was midnight or midday in the comments yesterday so I'm not taking any chances.

      • +1

        Thanks Neil!

      • There's technically no such thing as 12PM. PM stands for post meridian which means after midday.

Whilst 12PM is generally accepted to represent midday, it's still best to use noon or midday.

        • I've transitioned to a new dimension where there is no midday.
There's also no pizza, so i wouldn't recommend it.

        • Have you consider getting help for being pedantic?

        • @Diji1: Have you ever considered getting help for accusing others of being pedantic?

          Btw it's 'considered', not 'consider'

      • It's not like that's obvious though. It's just a convention. PM and AM in relation to 12:00 make no sense considering they mean 'after midday' and 'before midday'.

Until we recover the black box recorder, no one will know.

  • I thought UberEats and Zomato would be global competitors?

    • +1

Isn't Zomato a restaurant rating site? In that case they would be partners.

      • That's only in Australia. Overseas they do deliveries (e.g. https://www.zomato.com/kolkata/order-food-online or https://www.zomato.com/seattle) and more. I can't imagine them throwing in the towel after the money they invested - but they're probably realists. You may be right. It seems they rely on partners for the delivery part.

In China, Delivery Hero is shutting down since Chinese delivery companies are getting investments and infrastructure from logistic companies similar to Uber.

This whole thing is messed up. Zomato has totally ruined what Urban Spoon created, and now that Menulog is accused of leaking customers data I wouldn't know if you can trust any of these companies.

          @cheapy:

          I miss urban spoon :(

@cheapy: You must feel very extremely offended and violated now that there's the possibility that a stranger in the Ukraine can potentially see that you had pizza last Tuesday.

        • @Diji1:

          that old chestnut

  • getting error when i put in the code

    • Worked here. Says $15 has been applied to your account to use up until June 17 6AM.

      • how do i check if it has been applied to my account?

        • Screenshot

You need to put the code in the checkout once you add your order to your cart. Then the total will change after you checkout as the red text says.

        • @neil: i did try that but kept getting error. Is there a minimum spend?

        • @avitherock:

What error did you get? Have you put a code in there previously?

No minimum AFAIK. In the screenshot the order was $12.50. Have tried over $15 and that worked as well.

        • @neil: My total didn't change after checkout.

        • @neil: The code seems to have worked. It doesn't show up on the final payment screen but only on the receipt which is emailed.

  • Did you guys get a total that was discounted? My order detail doesn't have the promotion discount applied.

    • +2

Wait for the receipt to be emailed. It will show the discount.

  • Same I got charged full amount. Cool ap by the way, its like dominos, tracks your order.
    Needs more filters though

I don't want these guys raping & pillaging my phone.
    Be off with you.

Got a lovely burger and chips delivered for $3.50. Their app wasn't great when it came time to track the driver, looked like he pulled over for 10 minutes to eat my lunch at one point, but suddenly popped up with no nibbles gone.

Well there wasn't many chips but I just think that's Melbourne portion sizes :)

    • where did u order from?

  • I live about 100m outaide the area…

  • yummmmmm
