    Nice work
    Shame not many phones available

    • +2

Totes. The Moto G 3rd gen is an amazing budget phone though, runs pure android 6.0 and is waterproof with an SD card slot.

      • Are they really good for the price? My grandparents-in-law want a cheap budget Android (around the $100 mark) but if we put in the extra dosh to buy one of these, is it actually worth it?

        • +1

I have the Moto G 1st gen. Very easy to use, and the camera takes very high quality photos, nowadays when I travel, I just use this phone as camera, don't need to lug around a camera…. everyone commented how nice my pics look. I'm so used to this now, quite tempted to get another one!

        • +1

Yep. I think so. This will stay relevant and updated and likely all the apps will work on it for at least two years plus.

People below comment on the nexus 5x. Yes it is a better phone but also 100 bucks more minimum at its cheapest.

Someone also mentioned the Moto x style for 299 (which is like a 600 dollar plus phone). But that will never be that cheap again.

      • I prefer nexus 5x

        • yeah but nexus is $300 over the original $100 budget

        • @imtahir7: So u say Nexus 5X is a android one handset :p

        • @hopper:

what do you mean? i thought the 5x is android?

        • @imtahir7: dunno what he means. Nexus 5x and moto g both run pure android. Nexus line gets updates a bit quicker.

        • @RI4V4N:
A lot quicker, Moto X style still in Feb security update with Android 6.0

        • @windwai: if that is true. The style is behind the Moto G and x play too. Either way I guess the other bad thing with the 5x is the huge amount of reported bugs and issues, it was clearly the ugly stepson this time around to the 6p.

        • @imtahir7: I mean the AndroidOne program that google launched for cheaper markets, as you were saying its over $300 over the $100 budget

      • There's similarly specced phones for less money now…it runs the Snapdragon 410 processor, which the LG Leon and equivalent phones also so, for much less money.

That said, the Moto does leave their cameras well behind and also has 2GB of RAM…

I would have gotten the Moto G had I not bought the Moto X Style for 299 recently…

        • yeah, the X was steal.

missed out though on it though,

i bought the G for my mum

        • Indeed. The style will never be that price again though.

        • Yep, I'm waiting on specs too. :)

  • can you use the fitbit in the water?

    • Yes.

    • Fitbit says you can't, but some people do with various results. I personally don't.

Think you got the incorrect price for the Dyson in your title

    • +1

      thank you, corrected :)

  • So we get a Free VR for s7 from samsung right?

    • -1

Free VR promotion expired last month.

      • +1

hmm I think they extended, But not sure if EBAY counts

        • +1

TGG will give you a proper invoice for your purchase, when you pick it up

        • @aryan12: Thanks, U think 900 worth for a S7? Want to buy by 24th june as i'm going overseas, so i can claim GST, just hovering my mouse on the buy button now

        • +2

@hopper: worth it if you want one that is covered under the Australian Samsung warranty. You can also try and sell the Gear VR if you dont want it. Im getting one myself as it is the cheapest price. When they launched back in march, ebay also had 20% off. You can get grey imported S7 for $700-800 online (e.g kogan) but you dont have warranty and cant get TRS refund.

        • @hopper: look at getting cashback with cashrewards 1.35% or shopandmint 2% for more savings

        • +1

@khdsl: Thanks mate, purchased and will be collecting from TGG essendon :)

        • @khdsl:

          is Samsung's Warranty worldwide?

        • @notewar: should be country specific, at least for australia it is

    • Gear VR deal still available to claim from Samsung for purchases until june 30 :)

  • Asus 11.6" QC Atom Z8300 2GB 32GB Notebook $223.2

Tempting to get this for a holiday next month. But I've just bought a Chuwi Hi8!! :(

  • +1

Just got the Moto G - been awaiting for a decent and well priced Android phone. Nearly bought the zenfone in a couple of occasions. Glad I waited!

  • Anyone got any opinions on the Sony KDL60W600B 60"???

I wish the 55" Sony FHD was on special too.

  • +1

Can anyone help me understand the difference between the dc58 and the v6? Thanks much appreciated.

  • Got the Moto G! Just in time since I just dropped my phone! Thanks OP

  • Apparently the MotoG has no notification LED?
How do I know if anything is going on with the phone unless I physically pick it up?

    Cheers
    (hopefully not a dumb question. :) )

    • It's hidden in the earpiece. It also doesnt work until you root the phone and install a background app

      https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.akexorcist…

      It's not an elegant solution

      • No it isn't. :)

What will rooting the phone do for the warranty?

        • Yeah I have a moto x play and it has no notification light either. What it does have though is some sleep screen software that flashes the notification if it gets bumped or moved slightly. So like u just tap ur phone or pick it up and u can see if u have any messages.

    • As RI4V4N says, it's been replaced by a screen that wakes on a bump and shows you what notifications there are, and you can even get a preview by touching the icon, without unlocking.

  • Pita to pick with TGG. Have parcel lockers on ebay and so many questions. They need the Australia post letter for the parcel locker!

Anyway still got the goods after all that

  • my wife has the 1st gen Moto G and it continually running out of useable space, and can't install many apps at all. Will this 3rd gen suffer from the same issues?

    • really depends on the end user. Plenty for some not even close for others.

it has got double the memory 16gb and has a memory card slot.

and I believe that android 6.0 that you are able to move apps to the memory card which could not be done of previous versions.

      • ahh that's a good feature. I thought it had a lot to do with RAM, and that this one (being 2GB) would be better?

        She's a pretty basic phone user…

        • I also have the gen 1, the 2gb of ram should make things work faster and for extra storage (photos, music etc) you can insert an SD card, which we couldn't on the gen 1.

        • @EightImmortals:

          cheers. Think I'll grab one.

  • Is the Moto G unlocked? will it work outside of Australia?

    • Yes and yes.

  • About to jump on the Kd49x8000c I can't seem
To find reviews for it on google without it auto correcting to the 830c (or are they the same TV?) before I do does anyone know how it compares to the w800c (I know that's only 1080p but it might be higher end 1080p). Same software or it is an older/crappier android tv?

    • +1

No Android on the X8000c, unlike the w800c. Also, only 50Hz refresh rate. The W800c would be a better buy IMO if you don't need 4K-not really worth it at this size.

  • not bad deal on the 50" TCL smart tv :)

    • The UHD right? I was also thinking of getting this.

      • +1

lol FHD. sif 50" UHD for $439.20

        • Oh, I was after UHd.

  • +1

Just bought one for my Dad who is in 70s for his first smartphone experience. Good things is you can trust on Motorola rather than unknown companies; and found mostly reviews are super positive. Hopefully it will be value for the money.

    • Yeah the Moto G is super value for money. It's a solid phone and actually looks great.

Got my old man his first smart phone a year ago, which was the Moto G (but 2nd edition) as well.

He's been loving it. It's still a learning experience for him but he can text/youtube/international video calls and all that.

  • Is the Motorola Moto g 3rd gen dual sim.

    • -1

Yep its the XT1550, so dual sim

  • What's better the Moto g listed here or the Lumia 640xl for $280. Same store.

  • I am sad that I cannot buy the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with the 20% code from thegoodguy ebay … Or it it that I'm blind ?

  • Thanks OP, Bought the Sony 48". Good price and its a pick as well.

    • Would you recommend that? I wanted to go for Sony KD49X8000C 49"(124cm) UHD LED LCD Smart TV $790.4 because it is a newer model with UHD but reviews say that it has the android tv software on it which is crap.

      • Sony has a very low lag compared with branded version. Go for KD49X8000C if your budget allows and future proofing.

  • Phew! I was able to return the Moto G from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/247404 and get this one just in time. Cheers OP

  • shame that there's no HTC 10…

  • +2

Is it me or did they jack up the moto g3 price…

    • Yes, I think they did. It was about $300 and now is sitting around $320 :(

    • Happened to the S7 prices too :(

  • Hey, galaxy S7 Prices went back up around $20 again to the original ebay price :)

  • +4

the hell they put up the Moto G up by $30! ffs bunch of crooks

    • +1

yea i got $255.20 at check out after applying the code
might wait till after 7pm in case the price drops by 20$ according to the OP post

      • It dropped $6 :'(

    • The price increased…

    • EDIT
so at 10:43 AEST it dropped from 255.20 to 250.40 with pick up
anywho bite the bullet it and purchased it anyway

  • +4

Shame on you good guys jacking up the moto g by $30

  • Just ordering the S7 silver now, no click and collect options at all. Sold out in almost all the stores :( will have to get it delivered to sydney. Says item location is in melbourne so maybe they still have heaps in the warehouse there or something..

    • Update: got an email at 12.50am saying order is being processed by TGG in Oxley, QLD. That was the only store showing click and collect option on ebay too.

      • TGG Oxley called to say they've received my order and that it would be dispatched today. ETA 3-5 working days.

        • Just got my S7 from the courier today yay!!

  • Cannot see the Moto G deducted $20?

    • Yeah they jacked up the price 2 days ago and yesterday it only dropped $6 during the after dark sale, today it dropped $0. :'(
