I want to get the new HTC 10 on the Vodafone 4GB $78 per month plan. Apparently you can't haggle in store so I'm going to give them a call. Any tips on how to get what I want, which is of course as cheap as possible. Has anyone had any experience/success?

Now they're offering 4GB of data for $70 per month. Matched with Vodafone $70 plan and an extra gig.
If anyone is interested, I got the 3GB plan which is $78 per month for $70 with 4GB total data.

Bohica. Bend over … here it comes again. You get stung for another 24 months? Maybe if you're going to ask for advice you should wait for said advice before committing financial suicide.
I don't mind. My current phone is fried and I don't need that much data anyway.
why trying so hard…outright + vaya is the choice.
Prepaid offers the best value by far. People mistakingly think that because they are tied to a contract that their provider will "look after" them when in reality that contract allows them to repeatedly violate you while leaving little recourse to escape.
Prepaid users can jump to another provider within an hour generally and loyalty is earned through offerings. I just jumped to Optus prepaid from amaysim given data free music streaming and healthy data allowances.

Every time i have upgraded a service i have gone in store and ALWAYS gotten a better deal that was being offered over the phone etc.
ALSO.. 4GB data on $60 plan is ONLINE only.. if you call up you may only get 3GB
from my experience Stores can MATCH the 4GB deal and call their internal team re pricing.
If i was you i would go to a store.
Example:
mate went to Box Hill VIC store
Got HTC 10 on $60 plan
6GB data (matched Virgin offer)
$10 per month discount so paying $68 a month
AND 1 month free
Call centre offered $5 discount with 4GB Data only
ALWAYS go to a store, they can do more than people realise

Grey import HTC 10 64GB $989. That equates to $41/month. So your plan is $29/month for 4GB data. Sounds pretty good to me, the only thing is that you lose the option to change carriers.
Just got offered the HTC 10 with 1.5GB of data, unlimited calls/txt etc for $67 per month. I tried pretty hard to get 3GB but he wouldn't budge, apparently not possible at all.
