Thanks :) also, was looking at this, but the unknown brand factor turned me off https://www.masters.com.au/product/101595841/esatto-6kg-vent…
Good price for a 6KG and 2 star rating though
What's your absolute budget? IMO I'd steer away from non brand name whitegoods - they can bite you later when you need replacement parts, not to mention durability issues.
My current budget pics:
- http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/hoover-7kg-front-load-washer-d… $595 + pretty sure manufactuered in Italy
2.The Simpson you linked - https://www.jbhifi.com.au/whitegoods-appliances/laundry/sams… $696
- http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-7kg-front-load-washer-wd120… $699
At $299 even if I got a few years out of it I'd be happy…
Oh and $700 seems like too much for a dryer. I'm thinking around $500 max

P/s: seems the Electrolux is a better one:
* 2 yrs warranty vs 1
* 6kg vs 5Kg
* SensorThis looks good too. Thanks for sharing
Seems the cold/wet weather has everyone after a dryer too haha
Do people normally use vented dryer with the vent?
Bought the 4kg model 5 years ago for $199. It does the job and only use it on rainy days so the star rating doesn't bother me.
I don't think it's a good deal sorry.
Not auto sensing is a deal breaker for me.
I'm about to buy one of these http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/fisher-and-paykel-5kg-vented-d…Getting it for $380 - I can post the receipt if anyone is interested (once I pick it up on Thursday).
That would be great. Thanks
Who are you getting that through? I just called the local good guys and he wouldn't have a bar of it
The Good Guys North Lakes (QLD).
They should match if you take them the receipt.
I'll PM you on Thursday/Friday (picking it up Thursday night).Simpson driers are behind the times (a nicer way to describe the brand), especially this model with no sensor dry.
That would be awesome. Thanks mate
I too would be interested in a receipt, have a F&P washer and our Simpson dryer is on the way out lol
Sure, happy to help.
COuld you send me a PM now so I remember?I'm buying it to replace the previous model Fisher and Paykel dryer. Lasted 6.5 years of heavy use so I'm quite impressed. Similar purchase situation - back in 09 I looked at the Simpson ones at The Good GUys, then looked at the auto sensing F&P which were about $500, got them to move down to $390.
@Alister: Same here. I'm also interested in the receipt. Thanks.
@Alister: No news so far?
Sorry I missed your PM amongst all the messages I received.
PM your email and I'll get it right away.One member told me Harvey Norman price matched for him as well.
me too. thanks.
Anybody here cares to share the receipt for that F&P dryer for $380?
What is the normal price?
