440

Currently spotted at Target, Sefton Park. Don't believe the displayed price, the Fujifilm Share Craft Pack (including theSP-1 printer) is currently a clearance item on sale for $90.30. Get the uni student/sales assistant to scan it if they don't believe you.

▪ Great for printing photos from your mobile, Facebook or Instagram account onto Instax film.
▪ See what the photos will look like before printing, no more wasted shots.

Here's a link to the Target website

Some stores have stock, and I just came back from Sefton Park where I purchased two.

Harvey Norman is currently selling the printer alone for $227.

Note: Mobile phone and film not included.
Tip: Edit your photos on your phone and underexpose them a little bit first before printing. The printer overexposes shots.

  • I got this from dse for 150 with discount.

They were selling for $129 previously at target https://www.target.com.au/p/fujifilm-instax-share-craft-pack…

"See what the photos will look like before printing" - so I just look at the photo on my smartphone?

    • Yes, the same way you can tell your boss to look at something on his computer when they ask you to print it out.

      • -5

I don't think there are any computer or mobile phone programs for printing that prevent you from seeing what the printout or photo will look like. Maybe the "feature" is a throwback to 1995 before there were any digital cameras. 20 years later I hardly think we need the reminder.

        • +4

The "feature" is in reference to other items in the Fujifilm Instax range which are mainly analog cameras which do not have a digital screen.

        • -4

@YellowKnight: Thanks for clarifying! In that case, my opinion is don't purchase this item, and definitely don't purchase any screenless item in the Fujifilm Instax range. Spending $100+ for a photo printer without film when you can print 1000 photos at Officeworks for $100 is only worth it for nostalgia purchase. Maybe cute for a party or your kid you forbid from touching Internet technology, but spending 25 cents minimum per photo for film plus almost $100 for the camera? Wow that's not a bargain!

And calling this a photo is a joke: "Supported image size 640 x 480 dots". It's more like a credit card printer than a photo printer.

        • @twocsies: i agree, but you could use the same argument for most products that exist today. So your neg is invalid

        • @tomkun01: I disagree that "most products that exist today" have cheaper and better alternatives. In my opinion, a printer at $90+ that doesn't even come with its required 62mm x 46mm postage stamp-sized paper at 50c per image is defective. Calling it "great for printing photos" is simply going to fool someone.

        • +3

@twocsies: I used this camera at my wedding to instantly create a photo wall. It was money well spent. People are not buying this as an alternative to professional photo prints, but as an addition. Anyway, check neg guidelines before you continue to defend your neg.

        • @tomkun01: I negged because I felt it was a "Defective product" because it doesn't print any standard photo size, therefore cannot be "great for printing photos".

Once I neg the deal there's no way to easily reverse my vote. It's up to you to alert moderators to what you feel is an inappropriate vote.

To tell you the truth, if you used it at a wedding, in my opinion that was poor purchasing decision. There are many printers that can be used at weddings for making faster and better quality photographic prints. 99% of weddings are held somewhere with 240V power supplies. Just get a good quality photo printer and you will be laughing.

        • @twocsies: bahaha. I already had the camera, so I outlaid nothing for it. The prints were bought cheaply from china. Much, much cheaper than forking out more for a 240 volt appliance

        • @tomkun01: I guess $50 for a good quality 240V photo printer is too much for some people's weddings.

        • -1

@twocsies: Congratulations on having your neg revoked. Have a wonderful night

        • -1

@tomkun01: Congratulations on your memories! No need to splash out on an expensive wedding, as Salim Mehajer found out it can just cause trouble.

Anyway, these camera companies get away with murder while they can. Eventually cheaper better technology comes along and though they can usually milk it for a while, the Kodaks and Polaroids go bankrupt.

        • @twocsies: btw, Fujifilm was established in 1934, and Polaroid, in 1937. Older, yet not bankrupt.

        • -1

@tomkun01: If they keep pushing crap like the above product, they will be! Not easy to shrug off a reputation as the company that makes 640x480 pixel photos in 2016.

  • This is very cheap! I bought it from DSE for $133 without the free film and i thought its a bargain :/

    • I thought so too but there doesn't seem to be much interest in it

Are these better than the Polaroid 300 that is $47 on clearance @ OW?

    • They make fantastic presents for girls, which is why they are marketed at them

    • cheaper at move sale, it was only $89. Someone posted it up in the dse clearance sale threads. Plenty to be had at that time.

      • Is there still plenty to be had now?

      • +1

Sorry man, went to WAY too many DSE closing sales and saw none. Never seen a Move store, either.

  • Thanks posting YellowKnight, picked up last one in Roselands

    • No problems. I aim to please.

  • Thanks op got one from target coffs harbour. 5 units left.

    • None left at Target Mullaway. ;)

  • Ohh, I hope I can grab one! These are great for scrap booking!

    • Can't edit. 5 at Knox but one was put on hold as I arrived. So looks like stores should still have stock. These ones were marked as $90 but the staff still picked up the wrong one over the phone and I was just there pointing at the one the guy on the phone wanted but he thought I was just some crazy guy and ignored me. Awkward time was had by all, 10/10 experience

  • I got one from sefton park too (op, did you buy all the film's!! Lol) about 4 left.

    • +1

Nah buddy. They weren't discounted so not the OzBargain way.

  • Price displayed at the Merrylands store is still $129 but scanned it at checkout and it was the sale price. Thanks op!

    • No problems. Glad to be of service.

  • Really want one! Contacted Parramatta, Rhodes & Bankstown but none available :(

    • +1

Merrylands may have one left :)

      • +1

Went at 930 this morning, there was four left.

  • +3

If you need an AC adaptor for it, I just posted that they have them for $5 (from $25 RRP) at Big W. Will be useful since the CR2 batteries they use are not cheap or easy to find.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/247345

    • Cheers. But no Big W close to me.

  • 2 left at warringah mall in the locked cabinets behind.

  • 5 left at Edwardstown SA.

  • do these need ink or something?

  • Picked one up from Fulham Gardens SA today, there are about 4 left, however keep in mind that the store was sold out of film.

    • The film in stores are way overpriced anyways. I wonder why people are buying the film in store.

  • Might have to go pick one up myself!
