    Leather Card Wallet

All my cards are plastic. Will this still work?

  • +1

These are good in a minimalist kind of way.
Kids use 'em to hold travel smart cards and a bit of cash for school

  • It's a great wallet for someone who hates coins ;)

    • Yessss!!!!!! ;)

    • And bulky pockets!

  • +1

I had one before and really liked it. Only downside is that it's the only wallet I ever lost in my life. I'll try again and be more careful this time…

  • +1

I like these wallets. Already have enough in my pockets with keys and phone so it's nice to carry a small wallet. Bought a similar wallet from Kmart but it's coming apart already, so hopefully this one will be better.

    • +1

Had my 6 card version for over a year, daily usage and no dramas with build quality whatsoever.

When I first got it I thought it was a bit tight getting the cards in and out but its loosened up a bit and is fine now.
Getting notes in an out can be a squeeze if you have all 6 cards in it, I use a folded cinema ticket (gold class piece of card version) folded in half and it acts as a nice "wallet" of its own to stick my notes in, the rigidity of it then allowed me to slide it in the middle with no problems.

Thanks for your comments - glad it's gone the distance.

    • +1

It will be. Mine has lasted me since 2014

  • I'm extremely happy with this very small "regular" leather wallet I picked uup a few years back.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Small-Visconti-Quality-Mens-Hunter-D…

It JUST fits all Aussie notes. I've trained myself to keep at total only 4 cards in there. It's super slim, maybe 1cm when folded, with money inside and the 4 cards?

    Pretty good option too.

    • Thanks for that. Looks like a good option as well, although bit more expensive & all the way from UK…..

      • True, I had issues finding it. I found it on Amazon and That Ebay seller was the only one who shipped it intl.
It's very well built, looks great. It's smaller in all 3 dimensions than most wallets. I don't think it's possible to get a smaller, regular wallet.

These wallets are susceptible to portable paywave theft. Also you can buy them for only $3 on eBay and much better constructed.

    • +1

Genuine leather and made in australia (i assume these are)?

      • +4

Genuine leather but made in China, this very card holder is actually made in India, in fact, these are sold on eBay as well for <$10… This company is just reselling.

The Chinese slim wallets are 5-3x cheaper, have a clip to keep cards in, a loop to keep to your belt or bag.

        • +1

thats Palmeras own logo. Is the ebayer selling Palmera (for whats the brand worth) branded goods?

        • +1

Well I was wondering when you would show up on my deal to spread more misinformation.

In any case, thanks for raising this to my attention.

That logo is trademarked to Palmera Apparel so this is a knock-off. Thanks for raising so I will see what I can do about getting eBay to take it down.

        • -1

@aussiemillion: the information provided comparing palmera slim wallets to better designed and better valued slim wallets is all fact. And there are hundreds of slim wallets constantly sold for at least 3-5x cheaper.

The eBay seller has been selling since 2012, whereas Palmera Apparel has no superscript trademark of that palm tree logo.

This OzB is just an advertisement, and not a good deal by any means. If PA even had an eBay shop, why would any customer buy one for $17.50 when there is exactly the same one for <$10, and even better designed and constructed slim wallets for $2-3?

        • -1

@PVA: That logo has been used for years made from generic icon packs purchased online. palmera attempted to claim the simple design was their own, and tried to resell these eBay wallets since Mar 2015

        • @Entropist:

          I see thanks.

        • @aussiemillion:
Seeing it's posted from India I am guessing it's the same manufacturer as yours.

          @Entropist:

Following notification to eBay the listing you linked has been removed. I have no idea how you found that obscure posting, and find it very odd you continue to post on these deals.

It is our own trademark. Here is the brief posted with the graphic designer's details: https://99designs.com.au/logo-design/contests/create-comic-b…

I'm not sure why I'm being hounded (a competitor?), but I stand by the quality of these wallets. The 5-10 times I've received complaints on quality (on 1000s of sales) I've replaced or refunded. One of the issues on the first design was stitching at the top - this was amended. This is a custom design.

          @PVA:

You may be right PVA, looking into it.

        • @aussiemillion:
I agree with what you are saying Aussie, but don't argue on a forum type site as it doesn't look good for your business. even if you feel you must, resist.

        • @aussiemillion:
looks like the listig removed but then just relisted Aussie.

          @PVA:

          You are probably right..

If the comments were merely that the wallet is not a bargain, or is ugly, I wouldn't weigh in, everyone has their opinion.

However to claim that we are just reselling an eBay seller's product at a markup (or that we've copied an old logo) is very damaging and false.

And thanks for that second link. Serious questions are being asked of the supplier…

        • -1

@aussiemillion: The purpose of OzBargain, believe it or not, is to disseminate BARGAINS. And $17.50 is NOT a bargain, neither is constantly reselling over-priced $35 discounted to $20. Especially when there are thousands of slim wallets are currently and constantly sold for $2-3 on eBay. Customers can actually buy at least 6 slim wallets off eBay for the price of one discounted PA. Misleading consumers is undesirable commitment towards innocent customers.

    • As are the vast majority of wallet's on the market.

You are not getting 'genuine' leather at $3. No matter where you get it from.

      • +1

They actually are genuine leather, I actually use them and verified they are genuine leather because they are off-cuts from making bags, shoes, bags, etc. I scratched the surface of one, and cut in half to see the grain. They've been buffed really well, and constructed with good stitching, these babies last and last.

      • -1

The above reply refers to the $2-3 eBay alternatives, meaning you can get 6 pieces for the price of one in the OP

      • palmera has been trying to resell eBay slim wallets from india on OzB frequently for $20, even $25, very rarely $17.50 or $15 as demonstrated by this search.

        • Completely false (see above). Reported.

        • -1

@aussiemillion: prove the above replies are false, opinionated claims have a burden of proof. The eBayer shop history of selling these slim wallets (2012) is longer than PA (Mar 2015). Let's see how well a denial compares to the eBayer statement, and let's see who is really dishonest

        • @Entropist:

The eBayer has been selling products since 2012, NOT the counterfeit wallets which have since been removed due to copyright infringement.

        • -1

@aussiemillion: False. The wallets from the Indian eBayer are exactly same as the wallets re-sold by palmera apparel.

If there is a copyright infringement, demonstrate the copyright yet to be proven as owned, despite the attempted claim.

    got one, great for travel

    thank you

    • Thanks!

      • +1

same day delivery, very good service

  • Got 2.
    Thanks!

    • Thank you.

  • +1

Man, I've requested this before, we need ones that can handle more cards!

    • then get a casual wallet that holds 10+

      these ones can hold:

      License / ID
      ATM card
      Medicare
      Credit Card
      OPAL/travel card
      one to spare

      • +1

In addition to the above, I have 2 more bank cards and a student's card. I would also like some space to stuff in a couple of business cards that I may get during the day.
I'm using a Dash that is falling to bits after a year, and have an Ezgo that is currently being fattened to be used as a replacement. The mainstream guys advertise capacity of up to 10 cards, which is perfect. I would like to have that option if I were to support the OP's business (assuming it is local, but now I have my doubts from a thread above).

        • Is your student card a printed .5mm thick thing or a laminated .1mm thick thing? Cause you could consider having 2 rarely used cards in one pocket?

Reducing cards is a nice feeling, but I know how you feel, there's only so few you can have.
          I can live off 3, just - but I stick with 4.

        • @hamwhisperer:

I reckon this is a good wallet for like occasions , weddings, clubbing etc where you just need your essentials (credit card , bank card, license and travel card)

Every day use you'd just stick with your usual wallet

        • -1

there are options for 100 or so cards that have zippers, like a pencil case. I have two compartments, one for incoming and one for outgoing, great for conventions. There is also the magnetic and 'magic' billfolds, I get them also for $2-3.

    • If you don't carry much cash you can get away with 8 cards in the 6 card slot version. It will be very tight at first but they have a bit of give :).

    • Look what I found for you :) About 10 card capacity slim wallet

  • These are awesome. Buy one.

  • Got mine today after it was placed in the wrong letterbox initially.

Seems nice and compact without being too small. Bit tight for 6 cards atm but it is new so sure it'll stretch a little in time.

I like the little bag it comes in too, can re-use it as a headphone pouch. Nice touch
