First time submitter of a bargain, go easy on me! Not sure why the picture didn't come through any tips? Thanks and I hope this helps someone

    • ok picture came through I just had to be patient!

  • So, how long is the expected lifetime of these spanners?

    • Not sure if they are the same but I have these Repco spanners:
      http://repcoequipment.businesscatalyst.com/light-garage/hand…

I've had them for a few years and use them often, they are triple chrome plated and still look new.

      No chipping, peeling or rust.

At the same time though if you are just looking for spanners ToolPro also has a life time warranty and the 25 piece roll is on sale for $60:

    • Guy at the store said these were every bit as good as Sidchrome, who knows maybe they're manufactured at the same place.

      • there is nothing special about sidchrome either from melaurgy or manufacturing tolerances compared to many other brands .

  • Your lifetime
The only thing that seem to destroy new tools is mixing them with old rusty ones
Ps. Repco is so overpriced even at 60% off
Tradetools are a lot better value
If you wait for ads to tell you where to buy your tools your always going to overpay
And by the way who uses non-ratchet spanners anymore, and non-angling heads
Don't You guys like your knuckles

    • I quite like Repco tools but only buy them on sale. They often have 20-30% off sales and I usually get Repco gift cards for birthday/xmas gifts.

I've got 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 ratchets, socket rails, adaptors, extensions, pliers and vice grips etc. as well as a few speciality tools.

The only problem I see with this kit is nothing uses AF bolts, unless you have a car from the 60-70s half the tool kit is unusable.

Originally I really wanted the Repco screwdriver set for the warranty but it has a similar problem, you only need 4 of the 16 screwdrivers so I just bought a Snap-On ratcheting screwdriver instead which I'm really happy with and use a lot.

I always avoid paying for tools I wont use.

  • Dont lose the receipt

    • Don't need the receipt to swap any of these repco tools in any store, employee confirmed it when I purchased today.
