Acidik is an Audio Visualizer app with a difference, you can actually "see" the visualization even with your eyes closed.
I have decided to temporarily reduce the single in-app purchase to disable ads within my app to free, making it completely unlocked. Hope you guys enjoy the offer whilst it lasts, would greatly appreciate any honest reviews on the app store, ratings or feedback.
The app is designed to be "wearable" and requires no VR goggles but works best with headphones. You select your own music (or mic input), lay on your back in a very dark room and balance your iPhone or iPod across your eyes. Keep your eyes closed and the pulsing coloured lights from the screen will shine through your eyelids to the beat of your music, the effect is damn cool if I do say so myself and can be used for meditation or just zoning out to some tunes. You can also open your eyes for a totally different effect although this does tend to be less relaxing in my experience, try it for yourself and let me know what you prefer.
Give it a try tonight when it gets dark, throw some nice beats at it and see what you think. Note that it only works with microphone input or songs located on your device (so no cloud stored or DRM files). It is also not possible to have it react to a Spotify/Pandora stream or similar services at this stage unfortunately.
Check out the video below for an idea of what to expect, try it in the dark for the full experience (note that the wearable feature does NOT work well in daylight or a lit room, although can still use it at arms length under those conditions for a more limited experience, or to send the display to an Apple TV for party mode).

** Note that this app is not suitable for epileptics or people with other photosensitive conditions (there is also a warning in the App before you start). **
Cool. This would be useful if you went to get some dental work done. Loud music + flashing lights = hard to concentrate on the pain :)
