    Designed for great looks

I guess you can see them in a gaming machine case.

If you have a windowed PC you can.

      • What if i have a mac PC can i still see it?

        • I'm afraid Macs don't have windows, m'goodsir.

People get VERY into colour coordinating their builds and all that with PCs…I've never boarded that train, but it's a huge thing for some people.

I've literally read a 5 star user review for a motherboard read (to the effect of) "Wouldn't always boot up, lights didn't always work, seemed to short in certain situations, but the blue colour matched my fans perfectly!"

  • I have these ram on my pc and for some unknown reason my computer keep crashing every time i set there speed to 2400MHz(Blue screen, memorymanagement)! The only way to run them is via 2133MHz. Im using Asus VIII Maximus Hero + 6700k OC 4.7, any thought anyone?

EDIT: Sorry i have the C14 version.

    • Check DRAM voltage and possibly bump up VCCSA/VCCIO by a little as anything above 2133mhz is technically an OC for the CPU. (XMP should handle DRAM voltage automatically if you're using that)

    • You have to find the correct balance between OC-ing your CPU and OC-ing your RAM. You need to reduce one to allow for the other, otherwise you're on a VERY unstable build, as you described.

For everything apart from servers, you will always want your CPU overclocked and your RAM at the level it needs to be to allow for that OC. I can't think of a reason for having RAM set any higher than ~1866MHz on a home PC build, unless your utilizing it for something outside of home office/gaming use…?

Impressive clock on the CPU btw. Kudos. Stable at lower RAM clocking?

      • The Asus maximus boards have inbuilt OC that is just a click in the bios. I have my 3770k with maximus v gene at 4.4 OC.

    • Have you updated to the latest BIOS from Asus website? A lot of Z170 boards seem to have XMP profile compatibility issues.

My Gigabyte gaming board only had an updated BIOS released last month which allows my 3200 RAM to run stable at the advertised speed (with an i7 6700K @ 4.6GHZ)

    • Yeah i do have the latest bios update which was release couple weeks ago. Im new to this OC world and have no idea about how things work with OC. I'm using Asus one click OC which is stable so far for the cpu. I believe the ram is factory OC to 2400 but im not sure why its only letting me run on anything over 2133(Except if im running the CPU at stock speed), when i use one ram stick sometimes i manage to run the ram on 2400 for couple hours or days before its crash again when i do restart. Im not really fused about running the ram at 2400 instead of 2133 but its only makes me feel that i paid some extra money for something im unable to use :!

      • Just checking - you're setting your RAM to run @ 2400 by enabling the XMP profile in the RAM settings (easy method) and not by manually adjusting speed/voltage/timings etc for the RAM (this method will cause instability if you're not sure what you're doing)?

Might have to wait for the next BIOS revision…Z170 boards are quite fussy :)

    • First thing to do whenever having possible RAM issue. Download Memtest86 (Do not use the windows memory checker it doesnt catch alot), throw it on a USB and run the memtest. If its faulty, it may be time to RMA. I've had weird RAM issues before that crash only when overclocking, that were due to faulty RAM.

      Hope that helps.

    • I have the same issue with a 3200 gskill kit on my asrock z170m pro4s with the 6700k. If I turn on the XMP profile it gets to 3200 but the system will either give an error when running a Prime95 blend test or the system will lock up while under load (freeze completely, requires hard reset). Tried upping the VCCSA which didn't help, and asrock don't have a setting in the BIOS to change the VCCIO. This is with no overclock and all other BIOS settings on default. The RAM completely 8 hours of memtest with 0 errors.

I'm inclined to say it's the motherboard support. From what I've read, many people experience the same issue for a time until a BIOS update is released which addresses it. Some motherboard manufacturers have a memory support list for the board itself, this lists the RAM kits for the board that have been tested and confirmed as stable at their rated speed. For example, the page for my board is: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170M%20Pro4S/index.us.asp?ca…

In short: Don't worry, sit tight, wait for BIOS update so you can just use XMP and not need to faff about with voltages etc :)

gah I need DDR3 not DDR4 cause I'm on Haswell not Skylake

    please more 16-32G DDR3 deals

  • Great price. I've resisted upgrading till broadwell E is out. Not far now tempted to get the team and have it ready. 64gb for $300 odd is a great price.

  • I wish it were DDR3 :(

Not a crazy good deal I don't think… They are 103 locally here in Australia…

    http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=corsair%202…

    • Since when is saving $30 not a crazy good deal on ozbargains? Heck a true ozbargainer would throw a party when saving $1.

      • Lol I guess so… But saving $30 and having to wait 3+ weeks for your ram… Then with the high failure/DOA rate of new ram… It seems like it's not worth the wait and potential hassle.*

        *IMO

          3+ weeks for your ram

seems like you've never ordered from amazon before. I've had many amazon items arrive quicker than local items.

Then with the high failure/DOA rate of new ram… It seems like it's not worth the wait and potential hassle.*

Amazon has the best customer service in the world, they will send you a new one and pay for return shipping for seemingly any reason no question asked.

        • If it's a 'upgrade' a 3 week wait shouldn't be an issue and that's if it were 3 weeks.
Not sure if you've shopped on Amazon but they are pretty quick to get orders dispatched.

Got my RAM from the last deal in about 11 business days.

    • 30% off… yeah, that's crap.

      • It's all relative… 30 percent off some things is amazing (980Ti's or 850 Pro ssds for example) … But in this case 30 percent is only $30.

  • Coming up as $74USD for me?

    • Thanks link updated as it is now out of stock, but you can still backorder.

    • I had the same until I used Chrome incognito mode

  • I am running out of places to stick ram nowadays…

    • +4

I'll tell you where you can stick it…

      • +3

Figured that response would be it AFTER I hit post…

        • +3

Yeah that's right! In your mother…board

        • …..in a second pc. Where did you think I meant?

  • Kinda tempted to grab that 32gb kit at cl14 but I'm currently running a 16gb vengeance cl16 kit in quad channel plenty enough for now. If I upgrade it will be when a 64gb kit gets cheap enough I want overkill 😄

  • How do you get that $32gb kit for $158??

When I go to buy it, even with the cheapest shipping option it's $198.00

    • sorry the price went up, expired now.

  • If someone's interested I found this one:

    Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2133MHz (PC4 17000) C13 Memory Kit - Black (CMK32GX4M2A2133C13) - Link

    for $129.99 UD + $5.71 USD (shipping)

    Still few left ..

    • 49.99+5.65usd delivery = 55.64

      • yeah just bought some…thanks
