50% off KitchenAid (Excl Refurbs) eg KSM150 $414.50 w/ Free Delivery. KitchenAid.com.au

1102
HAR16KA50

I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest KitchenAid pricing (at least for appliances) we've ever had on OzBargain.

  1. Visit http://www.kitchenaid.com.au
  2. Add items to cart and proceed to checkout
  3. Apply discount code HAR16KA50 to score 50% off PLUS free shipping in Australia

Examples:

  • KSM150 with Bonus Spiraliser $414.50 delivered (previous best price was $649 Delivered @ Myer)
  • KSM160 with Bonus Spiraliser $424.50 (previous best price was $519.20 @ COTD w/ membership and no bonus spiraliser)
  • Sparkling Beverage Maker $199.50 delivered (previous best was $239.95 pick up @ Taste Brisbane)

If you want to go all-out, you can even buy the 7.6L Commercial Stand Mixer for less than the wholesale cost price (as paid by hospitality supply companies). BOOYEAH! Broden the hell out of them and become an unofficial wholesaler ;-)

I don't know when this code will expire. Suggest acting quickly if you want to take advantage of it.

EDIT: Looks like the site has been OzBargain'd (now timing-out as at 7.45pm AEST 27Apr16)
EDIT: Site is loading (painfully slow…with plenty of broken image links) as at 9.45pm AEST 27Apr16
EDIT: You should be able to load pages on the site now (10.30pm AEST 27Apr16), but the cart functionality is either broken or it's been disabled. If it's still not working first thing tomorrow morning I'll expire the deal
EDIT: Website still dead at 5.15am AEST 28Apr16. Expiring the deal.
EDIT: Website is alive and code IS working (7.58am AEST 28Apr16) but superhuman level of patience is require to get through the transaction

I hope their products are better than their homepage

    • +1

      They really are.

    • +23

No, their products are all designed and built by the web development team. Move along, there is nothing in this deal for you. ;-)

    • Agreed. Can't even navigate it without the site timing out…

      • Yep. Have updated the post with a note flagging this.

        • OP is the sale all mixers or are there coffee machines too?

and if there are, are they any good? lol

        • @furythree:

Code is valid site-wide excluding refurbished equipment so, yes, will work on the coffee equipment. I don't have any experience with their espresso machines, but their grinder is well-built, runs VERY cool and the grind consistency is exceptional. At $399 (RRP) I would be more inclined to go with one of the entry-level prosumer grinders like the Ascaso i-Mini Grinder. BUT, at $199.50 (price less 50% code) it's a bargain.

      • I can't even.

  • +7

Site is not working. Is this same for everyone else?

    • +1

      Yup.

      • +5

hmm.. then it looks like the site is ozbargained. lol.

        • Amazing! About 30 people in the office, plus a few family and friends, placed orders less than an hour ago. Website was super-responsive. Now it's turned to crap under OzBargain stress testing. Patience?

    • +1

If its designed not to work then its working flawlessly.

  • Ugh. I really want one.

  • -3

Incorrect.. Few years ago amex were doing COTD style 1 item per day. Kitchen Aid was $200 from memory

    • -1

Aus power cable or US? Often its cheaper in the US, but then you need a converter.

    • +1

Yeah. They cancelled all orders and apologised for a fraudulent supplier.

      • i remember that one, had mine cancelled

        • I got mine, and I bought one for my sister

      • +1

Got mine, must have been a different offer.

        • Yes 2 different orders. The first 40 people deal was genuine, the second deal was fraudulent

  • -7

    Still overpriced after discount..

  • +2

    their web host is kitchenAIDS

    • 😂😂 A bit of wee came out!

    • Sigh… I realy wanted kitchen aids…

  • OP, I can't get on the website, any idea how much the commercial one is? Thanks

    • The KSMC895 worked out as $799.50 delivered (was $1599 plus postage)

      • +1

        thanks

        • How very polite. You are welcome.

  • Has anyone been able to checkout? I was the first person to like the post and I spent 5 mins max choosing a product, went through checkout and then was unable to select a city with some strange syntax error coming up :(

    • never even be able to load the website yet…..

      • +1

Must be all the people who voted.

  • Is this sitewide?

    • Yes - with one exclusion being refurbished equipment (per post title).

I'd double-check pricing on items like bakeware, cookware etc which larger online retailers generally price pretty aggressively anyway.

      • I'm dying to see Food Processor KFP1333 price because I just bought one from Myer and I'm still waiting for it to reach my door. I got it for $435 😭

        • Kitchenaid sell at RRP on their site. So the price will be $499 less 50% = $249.50 delivered.

        • @OzDJ_: thank you so much! Now I need to know how can I refuns the product.

        • +1

          @JoanJane:

Hang on….you have to secure one from the Kitchenaid site first! :-)

bugger! i have bought a Kitchen Aid Kettle from David Jones using the Amex $30 statement cash back deal, you guys know if they will accept full refund if i return the kettle? I havent start using it yet just open the box Thanks

  • What's so great about kitchen aid mixer compared to other brands?

    • +5

      M A R K E T I N G…

    • +13

You can start conversations with "So, I was using my KitchenAid mixer yesterday…"

  • Saving of around $220 on the commercial model.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161829022971

Edit: that could be the wrong model

    • That's American so wouldn't it requires some kind of step down converter to get it to work?

    • That's the 110V version of the KSMC895. The motor does operate at 60Hz according the the spec sheet so you could use a stepdown transformer to feed it 110v here in Australia.

The US model has a MSRP of USD899 (~AUD1250)
The AU model has a RRP of AUD1599

      • Apparently the US versions are prone to motor burnouts when using a stepdown transformer here in Aus or Europe. I can't remember the exact reason, but remember reading about it a fair bit when I was researching the possibility of buying a US one a few years ago.

        • +1

          OH CRAP! Thanks, Tangenyahu!

I completely got my 50Hz and 60Hz around the wrong way.

I definitely wouldn't risk running an appliance that was expecting a 60Hz by supplying it a 50Hz feed.

        • I've had a US model that's been running on a step down for 5 years now, and i use it every couple of days. It makes lots of dough and never skipped a beat. Dunno about this fully sick 'burnout' you've mentioned. Buy a decent stepdown. No problems.

  • What a deal! Site has been hugged to death though. I can ping the site's IP but whatever they're using to host the web content is probably choking from all the traffic.

  • Cant get onto the site. The sites gone into meltdown lol.

  • +4

48 votes. How many people have been able to access the site?

    • Access the site yes, checkout no…

  • Hey OP, where was the code from?

    • A work colleague.

      • ok cool, thanks mate

      • a work colleague means you work also at HN as this is exclusive for them..nice of you to share an exclusive mate

        • No. It does not mean this at all. You are more wrong than you could possibly imagine.

  • +2

    Page doesn't load :(

    • The website is getting smashed.

  • did anyone actually successfully ordered one yet?

    • Doesn't seem so.

      • +2

I never even be able to load the webiste….

      • +2

Their website seemed to implode after the first 200-300 click-throughs. Go figure.

About 15mins before I posted here, I shared the code with a few friends on Twitter and they were able to order without any dramas at all. People in the office had been ordering with the code throughout late afternoon/early evening.

        • lucky you…..refreshing for one hr already now….just gonna try it again before going to bed now…..

        • @tif1607:

A few hundred (or more) OzBargain members all smashing F5/refresh probably isn't helping the situation either. I'd be inclined to just try first thing tomorrow morning. I can't see the situation improving much this evening.

        • @OzDJ_: finally loaded buy unable to add to the cart…..

        • @tif1607:

I'm beginning to wonder if their web server was programmed by Mother Theresa

        • @OzDJ_: lol, I think they are removing the sale due to the internal leak since even loaded you are unable to add but compare the product, sigh finally decided after the last sale of 10% and 20% off from COTD was 469 for the ksm160…

Kitchenaid Mixers have a relatively low wattage yet people seem to like them a lot. What makes them so much better?

    • +2

Watts as a measure of output power is relevant for an amplifier. Here, you're looking at power CONSUMPTION. A 500W (say) KitchenAid motor will put out significantly more power than an 650W Cuisinart (which will lose more than 100W in heat alone). More efficient motors, better gearing (remember, they are not direct drive) etc in KitchenAid.

      • +1

You're right it's a bit simplistic to think more power consumed means better performance. Thanks for the advice!

        • +1

Disclaimer: I am not an electrical or mechanical engineer…just a keen consumer ;-)

        • @OzDJ_: So many variables.

How loud is a 100 watt spotlight?
How bright is a 100 watt speaker?

          Watts = hype for consumers.

      • Watts for electric motors is a measure of output shaft power, not power consumption, motor efficiency does not affect the motor power rating sorry to say.

  • Finally made it onto the site!
