High speed and USB 2.0 ports do not really go together

High speed and $10.00 do not really go together either. You get what you pay for!

I realise this is probably a joke, but "high speed" is actually a specific speed in reference to the USB spec. From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB#Overview_2

      USB 1.0 January 1996 Low Speed (1.5 Mbit/s), Full Speed (12 Mbit/s)
      USB 1.1 August 1998
      USB 2.0 April 2000 High Speed (480 Mbit/s)
      USB 3.0 November 2008 SuperSpeed (5 Gbit/s) Also referred to as USB 3.1 Gen 1 by USB 3.1 standard[25]
      USB 3.1 July 2013 SuperSpeed+ (10 Gbit/s) Also referred to as USB 3.1 Gen 2 by USB 3.1 standard[25]

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. I had a giggle as this is where it was going in my head.

        • @Spectator:

I'm getting downvoted because I have a bunch of trolls following my every post downvoting and this place does nothing to stop that.

WOW - you learn something every day.

I don't think I've ever seen a laptop that doesn't have an Ethernet connection.

via the 10/100 Ethernet port, if you want a more dependable connection than wireless.

    WOW - speedy!

  • Dell XPS13, no inbuilt Ethernet, you use a dongle.
shite for data transfer , but if you just want extra ports cheap…
