but crap product.
I have it and its far better than the Fitbit.
Really in what way?
Reviews suggest the tracking features are not optimal and don't earn flybuy points.
@Gimli: The tracking features work perfectly, even on the treadmill it didn't miss a step.
Flybuy points?
The battery also lasts me 40 days which is great, as most people don't have the time to charge.
@Gimli: If I'm not mistaken, the FitBit earns you something like 10 FlyBuys per day unless you walk over 10k steps.
10 FlyBuys points is… $0.05…….
So the FlyBuys points is irrelevant, I'd say.
haha what the hell, that is hilarious
@Gimli: I have no idea how you relate flybuy points to the quality of a product.
You can earn flybuy points for steps if you are with medibank
@Gimli: Still that's nothing about the quality of a product, yeah we get cashback from all ebay purchases, but doesn't mean they are equally good or crap.
@mily: you're a genius. I didn't realise that. Thanks for clarifying.
Love your old avatar. 😩
Is that a Justin bieber song?
No Prince
K not the princess then
Felt it was too serious and one of those that people don't notice much.
Nice profile update lyl!
(Mods you can just mark as off topic as needed)
Thanks!
Bought one on the off chance I get more fit because of stats-obsession. :D
it actually worked for me haha. the Ehealth tracker on the samsung phone made me ocd i had to get 10,000 steps a day minimum or I would be agitated :P
Same here.
What surprised me is that I've actually got more energy when hitting that 10k steps consistently. Exercise is actually pretty awesome.
Any in ear earphones on special?
Anyone who used these can comment on their vibration function as an alarm clock? And also the battery drain overnight while keeping bluetooth + band connected throughout the net without being plugged into a charger. Does it ever lose connection?
Battery typically lasts 20-30 days. I usually get about 28 days and that's with the heart rate sensor enabled. I've only ever lost connection when it's turned off after going flat.
Thanks. How do you find the alarm feature of it?
its fine. you can't set up a smart alarm (to wake up in 30minute window of 'light' sleep) without Android though afaik. The official app no longer has this function in iphone or android, but theres another app on android you can buy for ~$1 called MiBandTools which still allows you to set this up. I dunno if the three vibrations would be enough to wake someone in deep sleep - with the smart alarm I've always found I'm snoozing when it goes off, so works fine for me. Similar to Kza says below I got mine on the 31st of March, and haven't had to charge it yet. (edit: miBANDtools, not mitools)
got this end of march, worn everyday, alarm 2x every weekday and still on 30%
I got mine off ebay for 17.99 AUD and it arrived in 4 days.
Auction?
Heart rate feature doesn't work - gives random number in 30 - 200
Um what?
I tested my heart rate with this and on treadnill. Difference was 5-10 at most.
Have a fitbit charge HR myself and mi band for my daughter - the heart rate reading on fitbit is accurate, on mi band it's a random number. Might be a defective device or personal incompatibility? Will try myself.
It's pretty accurate for me. When I've had blood taken they always tell me I have such nice plump veins so maybe it's different for everyone.
MiBandTools is a great app - takes my pulse every 2 minutes and does a weighted average for every 5 readings - so I get some pretty good data out of it at a fraction of the cost of the more expensive trackers. Exports to Google Fit.
Thanks. I almost had buyer's regret when I read the reviews of the official app.
Glad it exports to GFit. I already use that.
Damn. Missed this deal.. Next time
Cheaper here if you order through the mobile website
How are they like for delivery? Geekbuying is taking like 6 weeks to get here. Ridiculous..
IME, it was 19 days
Send me your GB order number and I'll follow up on it.
@Clear: Thanks but its apparently "..on transport to the country of destination" according to 17Track. So doubt you can change anything. Will take another week or two to get here by the look of things.
@bchliu: Yep. It's in the hands of Auspost when tracking says that.
@Clear: I just wish you guys can move it out quicker though. Not to mention using more direct shipment instead of routing half way around the world and back (Netherlands postal).
@bchliu: postNL is almost never used. What is the product?
@Clear: A Xiaomi Band 1S and a couple of bluetooth Headbuds. Order #3629974. PostNL was definitely used for my order according to your site. Hence why I wasnt happy with it routed half way around the world and back.
@bchliu: That is very unusual. The only time I've ever really seen it used is with some power banks. I'll let GB know why they shouldn't use it for Aus.
@Clear: Yep. Not much can do now but just wait. I've noticed too that the courier services are a little high compared to Pandawill and Banggood. Also got a MXQ TV box for the parents but didnt get it from GB because the Courier cost was like $24 on top for the cheapest. Ended up being substantially cheaper from AUD.DX given they automatically have Toll Express as default for deliveries. Will be interesting to compare dropshipping performance between these sites.
@bchliu: TNT is usually $0-$18 on everything excluding HK Stock.
The Xiaomi Mi-Band 2 is expected to be released on May 10, may be worth waiting out for that!
Oh where'd you hear about that from?
There's a couple of articles about it if you do a quick google, here's one
https://www.yahoo.com/tech/xiaomi-boss-t-help-show-103638347…
The CEO of Xiaomi is shown in a few photos on Weibo to be wearing a new smartwatch/smartband, I suppose they'll be releasing it with the a supposed 6.4" phablet named the Mi Max and MIUI 8.
Pretty keen for this one, looks like they're finally putting a display and button on the mi band.
great price =)
