Blue partyhats are still the rarest at about 3.4B (gold limit is still 2.1B).
Bonds (items that can be bought with gold or money for membership) are currently trading at $0.76/million GP.
That makes a blue partyhat worth ~$2600 AUD.

Only pitfall in my opinion would be that you have to link your RS account to your Amazon account
And that you can't buy this now and hold onto it later. It activates as soon as you buy it from what I can tell

Edit: btw, still better off waiting for SIM pack deals. Paying $15/sim pack is about standard membership price ($10/mo) and you get $5 extra content - anything below that is much more worthwhile. ($10/$5/etc = $6.67/mo, $3.33, etc)
Quite sure the extra content (something like 12 keys?) is worth around $4ish retail, compared to the usual ratio of ~$2-2.5 worth for $5 credit.
Back when I was in year 8 I used to pay my mate $20 to use his sister's phone to buy me membership. Her sister had one of those cap plans that gave her $x00 of credit and apparently actually let you spend it on shit like this.

Haven't played since 2003/2004, and I've just seen they brought back OSRS (for a while now). Seem to have to download a client though. Why can't you play through your browser anymore? That's what I used to love about this game, being able to go over someone's house and just play on their computer.
Had a look at the grand exchange and party hats and halloween marks are worth hardly anything now? Why is this? I'm not complaining.
