Following Tasmaniac's discussion i was feeling rebellious and went hunting for a good deal on whiskys, here is one from Nick's for Ardbeg 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky

For those who haven't tried is, don't let the light golden colour fool you, its one of the more peaty whiskys available at this price range. Though IMO has a bit more texture than a Laphroaig

Delivery is usually free for orders over $200. Pickup is free from East Doncaster, VIC

    This one takes some getting used to even when you're a regular drinker of other peaty and smoky malts from Islay and Skye. It has a strong clinical edge. Definitely not for newcomers to single malts.

    I like to try random whisky when I go to a bar, saves me buying a bottle to find I am not a huge fan of something. This was the last one that i tasted, I bought a double before tasting and had it neat… I'm glad I enjoy Laphroaig else I'd have struggled with it. Can tell its a 10 year but by the time I had sipped half way through the double I was enjoying it and wished I'd asked for more. It doesn't have the same nice aftertaste in the mouth as the Laphroaig though but for the price is great value andI wouldn't turn my nose up to a gift of it.
