$20 is not that great for a $30 Telstra Prepaid Starter Kit.. I'd consider $15 to be the maximum price for this product for an Ozbargain deal.

Not gonna neg it because maybe it really is the cheapest price available right now, but these can frequently (once/twice a month?) be had for $10-15.

This isn't the best deal, I have seen these for around $10 on OzBargain

    • Yes I agree, but better than full price

      • But no better than more than half price

  • They are still $10 at Harvey Norman, plenty of stock around Adelaide. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/236275

I know that says 'Tablet' kit, but they're EXACTLY the same product inside the pack.

    • What about Sydney stocks? Anyone checked?

  • Thanks but these are regularly $15 and even $10 these days so not really a bargain.

  • $5 or $10 yes, this is a stiff cheddar price

  • Cashrewards has the same offer.

  • What is special about this kit isnt there something about transferring credit to google play?

    • You can use the credit on them ($30) for:
      - Google Play purchases
      - BOKU SMS purchases (G2A online game store)
      - Use an app called Rebatr to get $16.50 back in PayPal

      • Just looked up this BOKU thing you mentioned.. what's this? Is this their site? Looks interesting! But it doesn't sound like an online game store..

        • No, BOKU is a service that uses premium text messages as a payment method.

G2A, a popular online game store, now uses BOKU as an optional payment method via G2A Pay. I'm an Optus user and I use G2A and BOKU to get pretty much free games alongside the $52/3months I pay to Optus.

        • @Droidyy: Hi Droidyy. I am an optus prepaid user, i was told by customer service as I can't use recharge credit say $30 a month for purchase in google play. Is that correct? Is that different from telstra policy? Thx

        • @may1985Optus' policy is different from Telstra's. Unless you are on PostPaid, you can't make purchases on Google Play using credit

  • Not to mention that it takes months before they credit the cashback into your account.

  • Any in Brisbane?

No thanks will wait until June for a better price when Telstra week want to report eofy subscriber numbers to the market…

  • If I already have telstra how do I add this value to my current prepaid mobile?

  • You can probably use credit me 2 u but I don't know. If you want to purchase apps from the play store, you'll need to insert this sim into the phone you want the apps on.
